What a feather ôtwould be in our cap,
Not many have managed before us
To bridge that formidable gap,
There is between League 1 and Premier
And to do it in just the two years,
Would be quite a feat and deserving
Of many and wholehearted cheers,
I really canôt recall the last time
It happened, seems so very long,
Ago, ôtwas maybe Elton John days
With Watford when they were on song,
Unless it was Manchester City
Who did have a year down below,
I donôt remember, did they jump up
Those two leagues, both in the same go,
But whatever, and whoeverôs done it
It ainôt been done often, those climbs,
So we should be suitably awe-struck
If this is one of those rare times,
Iôm counting no budgies or chickens
And crossing all that can be crossed,
That during these last seven matches
We donôt end up being too bossed,
And if ôLady Fortuneô should beam on
Us from up above
, then who knows,
In four months we could just be hosting
The first of our Premier League shows.
