http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19624170 Well, apart from the fee that is. Fulham are good of getting rid at the right time, aren't they.
Ive said it all along, He Who We Shan't Mention was already injured when he signed for us and his operation with Dr Steadman was booked BEFORE the 'injury' sustained at West Ham.
I think you are spot on with this- I think it's common knowledge that he failed his medical with us ( that's why we were unable to get insurance on him)
It's one thing signing an injured player, but then actually putting him on the pitch straight away is idiocy. We will never know if it was browns choice or if it was decided from above, there's equal cases for both sides.
That's a hell of a claim to make, even if we were a shambles of a club at the time. I think the insurance thing is bollocks - I remember reading something about footballers never havign insurance and that it was just something made up by fans in situations like this. BCC might have some good information, but without knowing where it comes from it's hard to believe that it wasn't just an unlucky chain of events.
That was what Duffen claimed on Twitter, I've not seen the same claim made elsewhere, so I'd take it with a pinch of salt.
It's not a new claim from me. Yes it's unlikely you read it at the time but I said it approx a week after the West Ham game. I got the info from...oh sod it doesnt matter now, Adam himself when he was still at Derby. He said it was common knowledge in football and the reason we were unrivalled in signing someone considered a marquee player at the time. Ever wondered why he was so forced out of the club once Adam returned?
It's almost like you're poised to pounce whenever anyone mentions the words Adam, Bullard, Jimmy or Pearson in a sentence. Your commitment is laudable.
Interesting, why would Adam know though? Why would it be common knowledge among clubs? Is this the same source for your other claims?
Thank you, I just think a man who cost us millions whilst giving us **** all in return is worth talking about. As is our record signing.
I have no idea, but I heard it long before it was ever announced by City that he was out long term or that he'd be going to see Steadman and this made me think it was true. Cast your mind back and you'll remember for at least 3 or 4 weeks after the West Ham game the club continued to claim it was a minor injury and he would be back in a couple of weeks. It was a long time later that we were told he was undergoing surgery in the US and out for the season.
I do remember the club saying that at the time. They said it was cartilage I believe. Very interesting, thanks BCC.
Jimmy?? Nice to see you back TWFy, was wondering yesterday why we hadn't seen anything from you for a while.
Why's he bitter? I thought Sean of the Dead did really well? Ok Run Fat Boy Run wasn't great but he redeemed himself with Hot Fuzz.
