Its like everything else decided by FIFA - How much does Blatter get as a kick-back! <ok>

We should have pulled out of this rotten association after the world cup bid debacle. We spent £22 Million on the bid which proved beyond all doubt to be the best technical bid only to be told by Blatter at the end that FIFA were only ever going to award the tournament to a "New" country! The guy is a completely corrupt ****!

I hate to say it guys but I don't think England will ever be awarded with hosting the World Cup certainly not in my life time! <yikes> I wasn't born in time to see the 1966 world cup.

I dont want the World Cup or the Olympics in the country because we cannot afford them and it would make us even more of a terrorist target especially with the Tory led police budget cuts.

i doubt we'll ever get the World Cup again. I'd like to see us get the euro champs though as it's a smaller scale and would cost less money. We did a good job in 1996. Does Michel Platini like us??

Of Course Platini doesn't like us he's cheese eating French surrender monkey! <yikes> He's got more chips on his shoulder than McCain's!

As for Treacle you are just way off beam my friend. I would rather be living in a country which lives within it's means under a fiscally responsible Tory Government than a morally bankrupt and profligate Labour one! <ok> Its thanks to Gordon Brown "No more boom & bust!" that we are in this dire mess!

We have progressed so far as a country that we have a Tory PM (elected by default as opposed to winning an outright majority) that prefers to keep a corrupt man in his Defence Secretary job than thousands of young people up and down the country.

I am afraid that we are heading into another recession but dont worry Cameron and Osbourne have their multimillion pound fortunes so they will be fine.

Will they care about the idiots that voted for them (without any real justification) ?

    Of course they wont.

So just explain to me how this fiscally responsible Tory government still hasn't actually cut ANY borrowing Augusts figure was the highest EVER

    Coupled with this

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-15271800

Not to mention the UK GDP has risen by only 0.5% Don't get me wrong i'm not blaming the Tories for all of that but lets have some realism for all their talk they haven't actually saved any money yet

I think you will find Rich44 that the world's leading credit agencies Moodys, Standard & Poors etc have looked at the books and decided to preserve our Triple A credit rating due to the policies that this government is pursueing unlike Italy, USA, Greece etc. As for Treacle please come back when you have something coherent to say. You must love old Red Ed and his Union cronies who want to stick the boot in and send us back to the dark ages!

The debt levels have risen because unemployment has risen meaning that we are paying more out in benefits coupled with the fact those people are not paying as much in income tax and VAT when they spend.

The cuts needed to be more gradual but they dont affect the Tory cabinet because they dont use public services so what do they care ?

The same thing happened in the 90s when the Tories stripped this country bare and Labour walked into power with a large majority and the same will happen again.
