Last night (and on and off for some time) there has been an argument between the supporters who think we should stay away from ER and not buy any goods from the club, as a protest towards Bates and his money making plans, and those who feel this kind of protest is not the way forward and that it would only hit the team and the club itself. I wonder now that we are all aware the deal to take the club over has ended, has this situation changed anyone's views?
I would rather see fans boycott the club, neil walk, and us get relegated if it meant Bates left the club. It would be seriously worth it rather than finish mid table, (neil walk anyway) and we get some 'yes man' manager in who spouts the mantra. And not to mention we probably sell any player we can that is worth a few bob. I am f**king sickened by this carry on.
I agree and in fact sort of hope Neil does walk. Ive great respect for how hes handled things since he came in. Hed be a hero if he told Bates to **** off and stick the job
Everyone will have a different opinion and it should be respected. YES put your point of view over and allow others to make a decision based on the facts in front of them but not to bully and name call anyone or accuse them of not caring or supporting Leeds Utd because their view on how to proceed is different (not accusing you Bob). I think staying away from home games is a good idea, organising protests outside the ground is also a great idea and fully boycott the match day programme.
Since returning to the Championship, Grayson wanted to keep both Kilkenny and Johnson, but lost them due to their unrealistic wage demands (according to Bates). We let Gradel leave on deadline day (apparently family reasons), which effectively killed off any slim hopes of promotion. We sold Howson when we were level on points with Reading in January, because it was a good deal. We never replace with anywhere near the same quality. Virtually every year we receive more in transfer fees than we spend. Bates said time and time again that our squad needed cutting, yet the majority of the time i looked in the back of the programme, the opposing club's squad were bigger. Surely Warnock knew how difficult the job was likely to be before he took the job, so i don't agree that he should be praised or respected if he was to quit the job.
