You'd have to think so. FSG and sponsors such as Standard Chartered were totally outraged at the Suarez affair and just days before Liverpool play in FSG's backyard in a match sponsored by Standard Chartered he opens his big mouth again and brings it all back up. You have to say the timing can only be so that it forces them to sell him. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
It's all a ManU conspiracy and they run English football....and it was so painful for him and he was tired after having to get up at 7am
I have to partially agree with Suarez as much as I loathe the guy. He has a point in that United have huge political power in this country. Ask yourself how Giggs is still lauded as a great and may get knighthood having cheated with his brothers wife for 8 years and also Team GB captain whilst Terry is lauded as scum for cheating with his ex teammates ex girlfriend? The media did not bat an eyelid when Jamie O'Hara started shagging his teammates ex. Id love to live in a parallel universe where Rooney played for Chelsea and JT played for United and see who gets more recognition In the game. Can you imagine if JT had done to Alf Inge Haaland what Roy Keane did? Or if Ashley Cole had jumped into the crowd at Selhurst Park and booted an individual in the crowd? Cantona and Keane were two of the biggest scumbags in the game but the media still laud them as geniuses. Once Fergie publically backed Beckham and Ronaldo after the World Cups the media immediately backed off despite them being two of the most hated men in the country. Beckham completely restored his reputation, Ronaldo almost did the same, this was due to the media focusing on the fact they were talented footballers and played for United. I do not believe that would have been achieveable at any other club. Mark my words when Ashley Young leaves United nobody will even mention his diving, Drogba didn't "dive" or "overreact" for a good 5/6 years and people still don't forget due to commentators constantly mentioning it (Andy Gray on Sky in particular) Suarez didn't really have a leg to stand on but I can understand his bitterness towards the FA - who I believe panicked.
Understand that DL but professionals shouldn't be commenting on this sort of ****e, we all have our opinions on United's luck and how the media utterly wash their behinds but Suarez cannot comment on these issues purely because he's the least professional player in the entire league.
In what way is Suarez unprofessional? He's one of the most dedicated footballers in the league on the pitch. Carlos Tevez is the most unprofessional player in the league by a mile. The likes of John Terry, Suarez, Rooney, Giggs etc may have dodgy characters but they are all professional. Its quite nice to hear someone's real opinions aswell from inside football, not some bullshit about having respect for X opponent and taking each game as it comes blah blah blah
That's where I agree. I'm tired of players coming out with all this recycled PC nonsense. I much preferred the days where people just spoke their minds. Like Clough and Jose etc. Can't say I like Suarez but at least he's showed he isn't afraid to expose what we all know
Spitting, biting, handballing teams out of world cups, blatant diving = all extreme signs of unprofessional behavior.
At least he is right about Man U running things. If it was painful for him, stiff ****, he asked for it. Try getting up at 5 am, working a 14 hr shift, and having to sleep in a bed with hessian bags for sheets. Thats what millions of kids in India do. Another absolute pampered bludger who wouldn't work in an iron lung.
"Handballing teams out of world cups" How does handballing on the line make him unprofessional? Its unsportsmanlike conduct but its something most people would naturally do if it meant their team/country gets further in a tournament. Phil Neville did it against Liverpool for Everton yet I hear no one calling him unprofessional etc. The biting was bad but it was no worse than John Terry kneeing Sanchez, Rooney elbowing McCarthy in the back of the head or Roy Keane's vicious assault on Haaland, yet you never see them tagged as unprofessional. Because they aren't, their moral compass seems to **** up everytime they don't have time to think things through but it doesn't make them unprofessional players. As for the diving, I guess you didn't watch the Chelsea first leg against Barca where Drogba went down like a sack of potatoes everytime anyone came near him. It was pathetic but it wasn't unprofessional, it was actually very professional in the way he managed to give the Chelsea defence regular breaks by winning free kicks.
Well it seems our opinions differ on what constitutes being a professional Oh and to make it clear, you're acting as if I dislike Suarez simply because he plays for Liverpool by bringing other players into this. I've hated Suarez since he played for Ajax, it's nothing to do with Liverpool. What you mentioned about other players also contributes towards their own faults as professionals but this thread is about Suarez, not them.
