Is he saint or sinner, good going forward, hardly ever challenges back, putting the back four under too much pressure.

He had a mad mid season burst and now seems to have reverted to type. Personally I don't like the way he watches free kicks until they have passed over his head, and then feels his duty is done.

For me he could easily be replaced. But then that's just my opinion.

probably will be next season by wilshere. but he's useful to keep around, as he runs his head off all game in attacking midfield and would be a good, experienced squad player. i also don't like how he never shoots. he used to have a rocket of a shot, especially with the outside of his foot, but he never shoots when he's on the edge of the box anymore. why he doesn't get many goals.

Can't say I agree with that at all. Rosicky makes ALOT of intereceptions and works hard for the team. He's good both offensively and defensively.

I would say where he lacks is efficiency in the final third.

I think Wenger plan is to use Rosicky as our main attacking/creative midfielder at least until January with Wilshere replacing him later on. That is if Jack will be able to take this role. I can not see him buying any creative midfielder, as anyone who would guarantee an improvement on Rosicky in his current form would cost us a fortune. And Wenger is not going to spend a fortune on anyone.

Rosicky has been fantastic the last 3 months of so. He transformed our season when he finally came in for ramsey and gave us some direction and purpose.

He is a superb footballer and was utterly world class. He has such ability that I believe next year he can be back to this quality (for a whole season) and with a bit of confidence he can also get back to banging away a few goals. i hope we go with rosicky as our playmaker next year because he has a lot to offer.

I don't agree with your analysis at all OP. Rosicky tackles back fantastically well ! He is the best dribbler of a ball we have and his high energy midfield play is vitally important. If he can stay fit next season and add a few more goals and assists to his play, he will be probably the most important midfielder we have.

  10. One of our best players this year - he is a must for us next year. Over the last half of the season he has been one fo the best midfielders in the league.

He has played well this season and would make an ideal squad player once Wilshere comes back. Like Arteta, he keeps our midfield ticking over, but they don't provide enough attack for me. If Rosicky can go back to something of his old form and unleash those thunderbolts, he would be a dream to have. Also shouldn't he have at least another 2-3 years left in him? With all the football he's missed over the years, shouldn't he still be kind of fresh?

I honestly think if we put our faith in him next year he will deliver a big season and possibly be player of the year for the whole league <ok>

If he keeps up his current up trend in form then he should be immense for us next season. Wenger seems to like him and with Wilshere out and the lack of attacking, creative midfielders in our side, he should start next season....

The biggest worry for me is keeping rosicky fit. If he can be fit all summer and come into the new season with a solid pre season and new confidence then he could produce for us to a very high level. Here's hoping.

The same, albeit on a lesser scale, could be said about diaby to be honest.

Unfortunately, Wenger can't afford to wait for players to turn up. 7 years without a trophy is woefully bad and especially bad for a club the size and stature of Arsenal. Diaby is a quality player but he's clearly running out of time. With other players coming through (OXO, Wilshere, Frimpong etc), his opportunities will decrease the longer he's out. Same with Rosicky, he's come back from injury and is pretty much coming to the end of his career. If he gets another long injury before the start of next season, his career will be over. So for his sake, he better stay fit!

I don't think Rosicky is a problem injury-wise. Lets not forget, his problems have been with his knees and he was allegedly mis-diagnosed in Germany, but I remember seeing that they finally found the problem and that was resolved the last time he went under the knife. He didn't suffer from any unusual problems this season so I see no reason for him to suffer any in the next season.

Diaby on the other hand is perpetually injured and the injuries are always weird and a surprise to everyone. His injuries differ too, whereas, with Rosicky, it was always his knees.
