Well looks lt looks like the Riddler has been busy today for better or worse. A part of me still thinks he did some good for our club though in a funny old way, Or am i insane to think this? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14678246.stm Good Luck Plymouth hope it all goes well for you
I think the answer to your question depends on the thing you are practicing. I've been ****ing of for years and I find it very easy indeed, so in that case your answer is yes!! KTF
But it isn't true of everything. For instance I have been seeing for years but gradually I find I'm going blind. I have no idea why!
The Riddler spoilt things with his season ticket fiasco, he did a few good things for CCFC but will be remembered for the bad things he did. He got rid of Sam, built the new stadium and got the Malaysians on board so not all bad. Good luck to The Pilgrims hope things work out for you.
If the riddler hadn't come on board we wouldn't be on the championship board it'd be the purple triangle league or lower. Love him or hate him he was instrumental in us being where we are today. Sadly he'll be remembered for his season ticket debacle and not the good things he did.
Well if we end up back in the Championship then everyone here will think he is the Mesiah. If we end up on the scrap heap again then he will be Satan himself. Most things have more than one way of looking at it and it always depends on the amount of success or failure there is. Nobody here believes he arrived on our doorstep to "help". More help himself but if he ends up helping us then nobody will begrudge that eventually. There is so much bagage with the man that it is hard to know what you are getting. For now he gets the benefit of the doubt as there seemed nobody else hanging around the gates of Home Park when the **** hit the fan. He has done a lot we are told so far even if the details are somewhat sketchy and rumour. If we manage to start winning and move to a safer spot in the league then people will soon forget all this and get back to what things are supposed to be about which is football.
yup well greeny, what a rollercoaster we had at ours!!. He obviously knows his stuff even if he is trying to line his pockets most of the time. Will be looking out for your results this year and hope you can get back to the championship soon. Risdale is a wiley old fox watch him!!
Oh I think he will be watched for sure but he does seem a sort of footballing Del Boy and can wheel and deal with the best of them. I doubt he would produce another Malaysian out of a hat for us though. Lets say we have never been seen as fashionable in the World of anything down this way. Even the Government and BBC weather forecasters think England ends at Bristol. Like I said, if results come then eyes will turn to the pitch. The one thing that has come out of all of this for me is the good naturedness of other clubs supporters and the genuine affection given our way by the majority. I thank all for that and it is good to know there are others out there who care.
I'll always support Argyle but I can't and won't support the Riddler or Heaney, mixed day glad the club is saved, but gutted that its at the expense we've got that pair
If this deal does go through Gat there are two things a wee bit wrong with your stance and this is not a criticism as you have to stand by your own convictions and it is only my opinion. Firstly Heaney will not be the owner. Ridsdale will be that. Therefore Heaney will only be the landlord and have nothing to do with the running of the club day by day. The second is a question rather than anything else. What exactly has Ridsdale ever done to harm Plymouth Argyle? Was anyone else interested when he got here? Has he sold us out? Has he worked against us in anyway that you actually know about? Ok more than one question but you get the gist. Are you basing your stance on what others have said elsewhere or from some personal knowledge you have of his dealings here .
Hiya Sensible, firstly if I go to matches then I am indirectly paying the landlord, and secondly I am a very good judge of character, and after going to the meetings I personally think he is a shark. How could he pay himself 20K a month and we've had staff unpaid for the past 6 months ..... I respect other peoples opinions but I've said right from the word go that if he ended up buying us for a £1 I would never set foot in Home Park until he's gone .... on the plus side though the hospital where Joe's son was will benefit because what I would have spent on a match day I'm going to donate to there !
But he hasn't paid himself £20k a month because like all the other people at Argyle who have a wage promise, there has been nothing to pay him with. If he makes a go of us then I think most people will think £20k monthly is a snip in the end. But, as said it is only my opinion and you are perfectly entitled to have whatever stance you think is right for you. I'm sure the hospital will thank you as will joe. There is however a set rent for the ground whether you contribute or not so you not going is not going to change that just make it one person less who helps to pay everything including the backroom staff and players.
Well, mixed feelings around the town i think. I am so glad the club is saved! Will wait and see what happens with the owners and the Riddler. Thanks to the Cardiff fans for support all the way . I will miss my trips away to Cardiff on Boxing days. we ue to get good results and a great day out. One day we may return. Gat, thanks for the donations it will be very kind of you. Glad Joe mason is doing well for you, he was at school with my lad and he texted him the other night and states he is settled quick and loves it. Good luck to him and you for the season. Thanks.
Sensible I think you'll find I'm not the only one who will be staying away because of those two, I'd already bought my ticket for tomorrow so I'm going to make the most of it because it will be a few years until I'm back there lol .... and I think you will find he was getting paid the same as Brenda was ...... dont tell me you think he was doing out of the goodness of his heart ..... he classed it as expenses !
Declare, why does everybody assume Plumbers don't declare their earnings! We are not administrators(Bent)
cheers Joe, Gat and Greeny Mason has been a revelation so far this season...and can only get better. As for the Riddler, I can only echo what others have said above...he did a lot of good for us but unfortunately will be remembered for the bad. With the exception of maybe one (who I wont mention...no, not the Swans), nobody wants to see any football club struggling (we're all fans after all) so hopefully things will now turn around for you guys.
