From the Guardian: Apart from Negredo, there's nothing for my todger to get excited about there. Can we have someone like Forlán or Falcão please?!? And try this place FFS
True mate, not a lot of names to get excited about, he's looking for squad players, but unless they are any better than what we have, what is the point? Vaughan, Larsson, just where are they meant to play, and who deserves to lose their place to them.
Does Bruce know where to find Harrods WES BROWN looks set to be at the centre of a bidding war between Bolton and Sunderland. Defender Brown, 31, is out of favour at Manchester United after a bust-up with Alex Ferguson and is certain to be on his way this summer. Bolton sees him as an ideal replacement for £17million Arsenal target Gary Cahill, 25. And the Black Cats are planning a £12m double-swoop for Brown and fellow United fringe player, midfielder Darron Gibson. Sunderland chief Steve Bruce reckons he can persuade his old United boss Fergie to sell the pair. But Ferguson is a big admirer of Bruce's highly-rated England Under-21 midfielder Jordan Henderson, 20 and could offer the pair in part exchange for the £15m-rated star. Maybe he knows Harrods prices, but looking at pound stretcher players
The rumours are getting worse by the day, £12 million for United's fringe players is a joke. I dont mind Gibson but Wes Brown! Surely Roger Johnson from Brum is a better bet
Horrids. Terrible place full of pretentious prats and arsholes. Even the staff think they're somthing special even though they're treat like shight by a dodgy egyptian market stall owner who can't get a British passport. He probably went there and found he could get the same in Fenwicks for half the price
He must know Harrods is because of its food hall which is worth going to see for its decor(nice posh word)
I think its time to get a bit more circumspect about our position in the football feeding table guys. We are not Man Utd and we don’t need players to compete v Barcelona, we need them to compete against Everton, Villa, Bolton and Stoke and to thrash the likes of QPR, Swansea, Wigan and Norwich et al, totally out of sight. To take Gibson (he looks a cracking young player when I have see him) and Wes Brown (vast experience) is no shameful thing IMO. Charles N'Zogbia (Wigan), Alvaro Negredo (Sevilla), David Vaughan (Blackpool), Sebastian Larsson (Birmingham), Keiren Westwood (Coventry) Nigel Reo-Coker (Aston Villa), Peter Crouch (Tottenham), Maynor Figueroa (Wigan), Jay Bothroyd (free agent) and I'd add DJ Campbell here to this list as well (as the 2nd best English striker behind Bent last season), would all make us a much stronger competitive club and maybe stop the 2nd half rot's we have witnessed the past 2 years. For once, after slaughtering the guy for the majority of March and April, I am backing Bruce’s thinking here. I really think he has come to terms with the situation and has changed his stance on a smaller squad, to be replaced with a much healthier and competitive one that will ensure even injuries won’t derail the season again. A 26 man squad full of similar players will keep everyone on their toes. No one player would be guaranteed a place and would only keep theirs by performances. That’s the way forward IMO. We have suffered by having too many players almost guaranteed a place if fit, due to nothing better in the squad to replace them with.
The point is that out of last season's asquad, five were here on loan. If we assume they won't be coming back to us then the squad needs at least another five bodies to keep the numbers up, plus some additional quality (hopefully)
I think this and Cest's comment is fair enough and now Bolton are being linked to Nedum. please log in to view this image Aye please log in to view this image
As most of you said its rumours, RUMOURS only. Lets calm down see who is brought in and then discuss. Remember we were linked with 196 players last year. Signed 4 so ignore the lazy jounos and wait till deals completed.
