I feel myself choosing an away game on its convenience and whether or not we can half a beer/laugh en route. I feel many of us are going out of duty so we can say we have never missed a game in season 2014/5 or blind loyalty.
Well hopefully Arry (after our 7th defeat in a row) will change it next time (after we beat Burnley) and the pressure will be off!!!!!!!!...................and we will play with the confidence as at home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually Everton arent on form at the moment but its on telly so be interesting how many of us will be there....I wont...
Huge respect to travelling fans. I've promised myself a retirement present of going to every QPR game in the season after I retire. The only question is whether I will be able to afford all the European travel!
It was ever thus Stan. How many times in the last 20 years have we won more than 6 away games in a season?
But can't remember us losing the 1st 7 and not even looking like scraping a draw. CFC was the nearest we got to actually deserving a point ,ironically. The away form is what will relegate us. If we all know that why can't the manager see it? Would rather lose 3 or 4-2 and at least give it a go.
If our home form is sustained over the remaining 12 games we will end up with 30 points, so we will need 3 away wins or 2 with 3 draws out our remaining 12 fixtures. I think that's doable.
Last away game I went to was Forest last Boxing Day. Complete nightmare. I only go to the one's where I have good mates who support the opposition - our annual gift of 3 points to Arsenal will be on ( I like the Boxing day games, except for the last two I've been too), probably Leicester (last game of the season, could be a decider), Villa and Sunderland if I have the energy to get up there, because I know I will have a laugh regardless of the result. But overall I think the club should be paying the fans to travel given the dross they have to witness. Always impressed and proud with our away support. It is great fun going to non QPR games sometimes though, where there is no tension about the result, especially if its abroad somewhere.
I don't fancy us closing out the nil nil draws in Latvia next December but expect Stan to enjoy the beer and churches.
I treated myself to the WestHam match...loved taking the piss out of Hammerhead the Wham mascot...loved the fans, enjoyed the stadium I hated the match, our players, Rio in particular, the lack of effort the journey home But sooooooo enjoyed taking the piss out of Hammerhead
Betty, your Welsh brothers are in a rut. They're feeling depressed because they reckon the soppy Danes would take them in a ruck. Their morale is low and I've tried to boost it but to no avail. However, the mere sound of a fair Maiden from the Valleys urging them on would be like a lightening bolt in the dark and it'd startle them from their slumber in an instant. Its over to you girl: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/285091-Who-would-win-in-war-Denmark-vs-Wales
We usually go to most away games, but haven't been to any since West Ham and won't be going to any more for a while yet. Its just not worth the cost of travel or ticket to see us go and give up without much of an attacking effort.
This should be written in large letters on the dressing-room wall and the players should feel suitably embarrassed by it, but somehow I don't think too many of them would give a sh*t...
Strangely enough I still enjoy the whole build-up to an away game, from the travelling to the misplaced optimism at kick-off I have to say that some of the best atmospheres at Rs games have been away from home, though undoubtedly in short supply this season!
