It has been bandied around this site for many months, if not seasons, that some revitalising of certain areas of our squad needs to be implemented to put us in a more challenging mode. Injuries have hit us hard right at the time that it appeared that we were on the road to redemption in the eyes of most City supporters. Our official site seems to have gone quiet and I'm not quite sure what that means anymore. Are Derek's feet paddling like crazy beneath the surface or has he been appraised of our less than perfect financial situation and brought back to earth with a bang. My respect for this man is immense because I see someone who has a footballing brain but, like you all, I don't have the psychic ability to read his mind. Being so far away from the centre of information leaves me begging for the latest rumours and I rely on the computer and our posters on this site for updates. Any news?
Hi Mike Last Tuesday (before the Millwall game) DM said on Radio Bristol that they nearly had a centre half but it fell through (on the Monday) because his parent club had injuries. Therefore I would surmise that he's still looking for an on-loan central defender. SL has been top drawer (again!!) in providing wages bearing in mind we are still paying Elokobi
