think that Diouf could be more effective by playing him in the centre of midfield as his calm composure and confidence on the ball along with his ability to succesfully pick out passes make him better suited to that position ?, his skills just seems to me to be wasted out on the wing, he could be our 'Pirlo'.......

When he is fully fit it could be an option but how the rest of the team is set up would be of paramount importance and am not sure we have the players to do it

mUCH HAS BEEN SAID OF HIS SKILL, AND RETENTION OF THE BALL, so yeah why not. Can't be worse then playing White wide on the right <doh>

**** off, Diouf is not a CM mainly because he fails defensively in every possible way. I know Austin has shown to be good in that area but you can't just let him to the role of 2 men by himself. Not only that Diouf isn't as good as what you are saying, his ball retention isn't that good, and he wasn't that calm, he just falls over and wins free-kicks. Not saying anything against the style (and for the record if I was I wouldn't like it) but its just not the style you want in the centre of the team

Maybe with a 5 man midfield otherwise it would leave Austin an awful lot of work to do
