that Barton is being allowed to go for Free???

I seriously think there is a lot more to this than meets the eye, people are quick to accuse Ashley of cashing in on players.

If this is the case he could heasily get £3 mill for Barton, so why let him go for nowt???

As much as I like Barton as a player I get the feeling he's been stiring it for sometime in the background and the club have decided to draw a linee under it.

As others have said Enrique has done similar but were stil not letting him go for nothing.

Or is it a case we have so many options in Midfield they are happy to get rid, where LB is a bit more of a problem.

JB and MA hate each other. JB doesn't make any secret of that, or that his opinion of MA is much the same as many fans. MA can't stand that - - he has to be in control. He can't control Barton

The whole of the forgoign is, of course, without having any actual knowledge of what I'm talking about

I think they believe Barton is too powerful. The fans love him too much, he has too much influence. Anyone with any influence is being sold.

Jinkeys! Maybe Ashley is actually Ellis Short in a fat suit?

    Which sleuths could investigate this?

More a case Barton had lost any power he had in the dressing room.

As for Barton being loved, not so sure on that one.

Even his latest Tweet about being made to train alone seems a bit childish. Why do we need to know???

He's let his mouth go a bit to much and reckon he's gone to far with the board.

Nobody was interested in Barton, therefore Ashley has nothing to lose.

    A) Barton stays, Ashley pays his wage for another year, he leaves on a free.

    B) Barton leaves on a free, Ashley saves wages.

Not at all. I believe the cost reduction exercise continues. The Barton thing fits quite well despite the possible money lost. Its two fold for me 1. Do you really think a guy as rich as Mike Ashley gives a **** about 3m? He lost 1m and the spin of a roulette table. Of course he won't want to but he isn't gonna have what he sees as a little upstart embarrassing him, no matter what the personal cost is. 2. They are trying to reduce costs by getting big wage players of the wage bill, while trying to maintain PL status. They can't have him upsetting the applecart and exposing this cost reduction plan. Why I'm not sure because we can all see exactly what is going on anyway so why not just say it. It wouldn't bother me, we do need to reduce debts. I think this is the wrong way to go about it but its his club, he can do as he pleases.
