This is a common problem with a lot of red blooded males.
I recommend a drop of bromide in your tea and lots of cold showers.

Cut along to your nearest sweet shop. I don't know how much they are these days, but when I was little they were the staple "penny chew" in shops up and down the country

Dear Doctor Devo - I used to think I was a pair of curtains, and my own GP merely told me to "pull myself together".

Was he being flippant, or in your expert opinion, would this solve the problem ?

    Yours worryingly,

In this high pressure day and age we live in it's not so easy to 'pull yourself together' as it used to be.

I therefore advise surgery to install a zip along your front to make it easier to do so.

    It's a simple procedure - here's one I done earlier.

Dr Devo....HELP ME!....I have this obsessive complusive urge to visit the Portsmouth Not606 board and post on the patented "Stewie's original: Keep a word, Drop a Word" thread.....I've tried avoiding it by going out, but inevitably I will find myself in a library logging in again....What can I do?, I just want my life back.

These threads can be very addictive, so I recommend that you wean yourself off "Stewie's original: Keep a word, Drop a Word" thread by visiting the copy one on the Peterborough board.

    Oh, and "HELP ME"

    HELP ADMINISTERED <ok>

Dr Devo I feel like my IQ has dropped since hearing someone in the pub say they have "bare swagger".

My diagnosis is that, although you heard correctly, you've misinterpreted its meaning. I think he actually said BEAR SWAGGER.

    Did he look like this?

If he didn't - take two asprin.

These kinds of lacerations can be quite painful, but can equally be misdiagnosed by the lay person. For example, I had a Mr Atkins in a few months ago complaining of the same thing and it turned out to be a knife wound in his back.

The wind-ups will probably return in August, but if the lacerations return then try some ice-cream - preferably Mr Whippy.
