Any idea how many Argyle fans will be at Home Park tomorrow.

Pompey's allocation of just over 1,200 tickets sold out and the club had to ask for more and have been given another 200.

Should make for a good atmosphere <ok>

Hopefully will be a good turnout despite the current woeful form. 9500 total if you guys are bringing 1400 down would be my guess. Let the Battle of the Ports commence (Bledy Dockyard Derby my arse)

Twas always the battle of the Ports and Dockyards were never mentioned. I'm not sure it has the same meaning these days though. I think they put the family bit in the middle to stop the hooligans taking over the asylum Gat. It's hard to get too aggressive with little people inbetween. Bit like kicking a puppy really.

I'm going tomorrow. The Doc said not to have too much excitement but recommended Argyle as a day out. Cheeky F***. Should be a good atmosphere if nothing else. Not sure what to expect score wise but that's pretty much the same whoever we play.

    Blimey, talk about 'human shields'.

It must be a bit worrying for parents when you play at home to the stripey one from up the A38!

    1-1

Doesn't do a great deal for either side, but a fair result I think. <ok>

It was a fair result in the end and was quite enjoyable for a change. Thought Argyle started well and deserved the lead before sitting back a bit and letting Pompey back in. Second half was a bit the other way around with Pompey starting well and Argyle coming back.

Atmosphere was ok but not a patch on years ago although I doubt anyone expected it to be. Considering it was on the tele then 8700 was not a bad crowd. Given the extra revenue then a decent payday for the club. Not that the team will see any of it. We still need a win but if we could only play like today against other sides it would come and plenty of them.

Your No.23 is a beast and a half. What we wouldn't give to have one like him. I'm a bit surprised Pompey can afford him. Are you still getting parachute payments?

He is that! Otherwise known as "The Tank" - he was the first one to sign up in the summer, just agreed to what was offered. The word is that he told his agent to do one (although he has since denied that).

We are still getting parachute payments but they are used only to pay the football creditors.

Your wins aren't far away now. <ok>

I think the name "Tank" is quite apt for him 3rd eye and I still wish we had one like him. If the word is right then what a refreshing change that is. He must still be on a reasonable wedge though but then again with your home support numbers perhaps paying the odd one a bit more isn't that much of a problem.

I wish I had the same confidence regarding our wins coming soon. We play well one week then revert to being dogs for the next 3. They can play as they sometimes show but consistency is not the by word at Home Park. We've been waiting for the last 5 years for the winning to start. Not the best period to have been a Green.
