Got to tell you guys that on today's performance Pompey should go up this term. You did deserve your points but the manner you got them in was more than a little suspect. The Ref was definately one sided and not a homer. Your first penalty was an absolute blatant dive. Aweful decision along with a lot of other ones the man in black made. Second one was nailed on so fair enough with that. It should have been at least a draw on the goals front but that disguises the fact that Pompey outplayed us for large portions of the game. Better passing, more space, better chances etc etc. The booing at halftime was against the Ref not the Argyle players or Pompey. I promise I'm not being a sore loser by blaming him he really was poor. I expect it of the linos in this league as they are all crap every game. How they can be watching closely and see so little I will never know. Seems strange to say that you deserved your points but the Ref cost us but it is true.
I wasn't at the game but was listening to it on PompeyPlayer, and I can tell you that Alan Knight was spitting feathers about some of the ref's decisions in the second half - so I'm not sure it was all one sided. The only thing that everyone seemed to agree on, ie players, management and fans, is that PA is a good team and will be up there in at least the play offs by the end of the season. Early days yet SG.
All I can do is repeat that I was there and it truely was one sided in the decision stakes 3rd eye. My mate who I go with every match is somebody who I have never heard have much of a go at officials. He's normally very philisophical about them and says that's life if it goes the wrong way. But, even he was on his feet and asking how much the Ref got in his envelope. To get him wound up it has to be bad. You really did deserve the points on balance of play and I would be the first in line to admit that. I would have no problems with the scoreline either if the goals were legit but the first goal was a definate dive.
