http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16472945.stm pity ,really like the guy ,but it's probably the best for the club and him .
Not happy at this to be honest, can't understand why he's not figured much in Rodgers plans, he's not been allowed by Rodgers to get a run of games, to develop some form, don't think this is a good move at all!.................... please log in to view this image
I do like Dobbie, but he must have some issues and upset managers hence the lack of game time. I was very surprised to see him not get any game time against Barnsley, so that tells me the writing is on the wall for Dobbie. Don't think we will see him in a Swans shirt again.
Didn't realize Dobbie was as old as 29. If that's the case this would be a better deal for us regardless of any other issues. Maynard is 25 with more potential to deliver over time. Hopefully, Maynard can fill the slot behind Taylor. Although, to be determined, Orlandi may be staking a claim to that slot for himself. In any case, it's good to have competition, and what we're talking about here is playing around the margins of the squad not really making significant impact player changes.
Sad to see him go but in football managers seem to make some odd choices that never seem sensible. Won't be the first and won't be the last.
if this comes off then everyone is a winner, we get maynard and they get a great championship player plus cash.....
when dobbie has a run of games he can be lethal, that goal in playoffs was extra special and im sure if he goes to them he will shine but hope we add some clauses for extras if they do very well with him playing as done to us numerous times !

we will wait and see what happens, didnt they turn down a 6mill bid for maynard, cant see dobbie being worth more than 500,000
I'll be gutted if he goes, he's a player that I rate very highly. People are talking about his attitude ... I've never seen any evidence of a bad attitude on the pitch. He's a technacally gifted player, creates chances and is one of the few players who will always take shots from outside the box. He's scored some great goals for us in the past, the one in the Playoff Final will always stand out but my favourite one was his freekick against Sheffield Utd on the last day of last season!!!
IMO we may not have won the playoff and be where we are now if it wasn't for this player. Scored the best goal of the game and created another. In response our Club has treated him quite shabbily ever since. Good luck to him, I say. I'm not going to get into this debate again but players need a decent run in the first team before anyone can decide whether they're up to it - regardless of what anyone on here says. Graham was given chance after chance and was playing like a donkey before coming good. Dobbie started against Man City and Spurs very recently. If that's giving him a chance I'm a transsexual from Pattaya. (Btw I'm not, last time I looked). I'll be chuffed to get Maynard though.
Im not happy about this either,he is way down in the pecking order at the moment though, ive stated onhere in an article ages ago that brenden seems to have his favourites, looks like dobbie isnt one! Rodgers likes players with pace and touch, i dont Think dobbie has had a fair chance but as ive always said brenden makes his choices watching the players train,he obviously hasnt blown away the manager on the training field and rodgers probably thinks the other options he has Are better suited to prem football
Bony's one liner from the start says it all to me ... It's a lose lose if he stays & a win win if he goes . Best for all concerned .
