Buck just signed a new contract so he should be with us for a bit . Buck doesn't play Dobbie . Dobbie gets rusty quickly & takes a lot of time to get up to form . Dobbie should go for everyone's own good , loan with an option to buy & sell him on !!

He should go. At 29 he deserves to be playing regular football. Was a key factor in our promotion and at the playoffs in particular but for whatever reason Rodgers doesn't fancy him. I think he's wrong, but that argument's been done to death and I'm not the Manager.

Good luck, Stephen. You didn't deserve it in my book. <ok>

I think Dobbie will go to Blackpool, to help them in their play-off push, can history repeat itself? I sure hope so.....<cheers>

Can't agree with Buck on this one. Dobbie has shown what he can do - scores and creates. So he hasn't performed this season, well let's call a spade a spade; Buck hasn't given him a proper chance. Bit parts here and there are not enough for any player to find form and Dobbie needs a run.

I know he has his faults (work rate etc) but he knuckled down in the reserves and put in some more than decent performances. His lack of opportunity could only have damaged his confidence and made him edgy when he did get a chance. Had he played against Norwich I'm sure he would have contributed more than Josh who hardly got involved in the dirty work.

As much as I like Buck he does have some worrying flaws. He seems inflexible at times regarding certain players and his choice of subs is, at times, quite mystifying if not bizarre. He has certainly been totally out-thought on two occasions by Paul Lambert who was streets ahead of him in tactical acumen.

But Buck is the Boss and it's his decision if Dobbie goes. I would sooner it be on loan so the player could return with confidence following games under his belt. If we do sell him, I believe that he is worth £750k of any Championship team's money so let's have no nonsense about cancelling his contract and letting him go on the cheap.

Well said, Ivor. Others here have disparaged Dobbie but I'm with you on this. If Graham can be given serious game time to get it right......

Rodgers isn't perfect, far from it, though we all know he gets it right most of the time. But he's inflexible in the way we play, and seems unable to tweak. Lambert showed us how it should be done on Saturday imo. How on earth he can pick someone like Moore (who someone said laughably recently that he's our most technically gifted forward!) is beyond me, other than perhaps he is more versatile and can slot in on the wing when needed, where as Dobbie plays centrally.

Dobbie contributed enormously last season, yet Moore, despite having opportunities, did jackshit, yet he's the one getting the nod. I can't fathom it out.

With Agustien , Allen , Britton , Sig , McEachran & Gower ahead of him in pecking order & vying for 3 spots , Dobbie will never see the light of day . I'd like to keep him too but we don't say if he plays or not so he has to go . Blackpool should be targeted for the loan/ sale because they know he's helped two teams , the last 2 seasons , reach the bigs . Add on clause if they reach the playoffs & another if they are promoted . Nothing under 1,000,000 to start

Ivor I can't disagree with anything you've written there, and I've stated on a number of match day threads, that his substitutions were odd, and he has cost us games in my view, but I'm beginning to wonder whether he really understands why Martinez first introduced a 4-5-1 formation to Swansea city. Surely he must have known that Norwich were not going to be as easy as last season at the Liberty, yet he decides to start our team with a weakened midfield formation of 4 players instead of 5, with the knowledge that we had Allen and Agustien out injured too, but not only that, he then puts a boy in from Chelsea from the start of the game, that further weakened our midfield, and it's no wonder we were over run, and why poor Leon was getting a right thumping. I'm not a Gower fan, but we should have gone with 4-5-1, with Gower starting, and Josh should have come on for 20 minutes second half. Rodgers says all the right things pre and post match, but his tactics and subs, do make me worry on times...............

PS: I'm on record as being very frustrated over this Dobbie issue, but I have now resigned myself to the fact, that he'll not figure at all this season, big shame if you ask me, and not the way to say thank you, for what he did at Wembley, I will never forget that day, as long as I live!............. <ok>

Dobbie has already had one spell on loan with Blackpool and played a key role as they went on to win promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs. Seasiders boss Ian Holloway would like history to repeat itself and is considering a move, although he will face strong competition from Middlesbrough for his services. Tony Mowbray is on the look out for more attacking options as he attempts to keep Boro in the promotion race and Dobbie is an option. The loan window is now open to clubs outside of the Premier League and Dobbie looks to be in demand. - ClubCall

Does that mean you agree with me too Phill. Oh Pllleeeeaaase!!!!! Just kidding. ;)

You're right. I know others disagree but my view is that he hasn't been given the chances that other players have. Such fond memories of that day, and the lad made one and scored one not mentioning his heroics in the playoffs.

Norway and others have said 'Well that was the Championship' and that's true, but can anyone honestly say he's been given the opportunities that Graham has? I can't see it myself.

If he does`nt fit rogers plans then lend him out unless we need the sale money towards something else academy perhaps ?
Weve seen time again the LACK OF loyalty of past players and managers when they`re stock is raisedby us, so for me theres no sentiment in buisness only in the past.Cheers to the players who got us here but sanferryann the club comes first onwards and upwards stid.
