I find it amusing that WLOH is described a “senior member”. Maybe replace “senior” with “immature”. But he is definitely a member.:cheesy:

In reply to the actual question my answer is yes. I'm hoping we can get in the play-offs but a lot rests on who we can get in this summer and if we can sort our defence out.

Hate to say it but I give you a far better chance of staying up than us :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Let's face it, even with the Town squad as of this minute, they would stay up despite all JWM's concerns.

The championship is pretty strong next year though. Playoffs might be a bit of an ask.

WHU and Brum you would expect to do well, plus Boro,Reading, Cardiff, Leeds, Forest, Leicester, Hull, Burnley, Blackpool all have a better chance than Ipswich I would say.

Such an unpredictable league though so if you get a run (of the winning or losing variety)together you could potentially do a Sheffield United or a Norwich.

Nobody was thinking Sheff U would go down but they were awful. Seem to remember Sheff U and Boro were two of the favourites last year at this stage.

I have a feeling Southampton might grab one of the playoff places and Brighton, Peterboro have every chance of doing OK. I fear for Barnsley and Donny the most.

True. At the start of last year all the papers had pretty much given the title to Middlesbrough. It’s almost pointless making predictions until around Christmas time. Still that’s what makes it such an entertaining division I guess.

If we can get sorted at the back I think we got a good chance. Time will tell.

Today's 'statement of the bleedin' obvious'; we have as much chance as any other club at this point of finishing top, middle or bottom and all positions in between! All on zero points and not a ball kicked in anger yet!!! I agree that Christmas is a good barometer as Captain H rightly says.

Mind you that wont stop us all giving our opinions and predictions! Nor should it of course!!!

Can't see us fighting a relegation battle next season (he says in hope) but, as been been said, we'll know bugger all until all is up and running.
