Seems to have gone very quiet, we are not even being linked to anyone at present? I am worried I still think we are desperate for cover at the back and a striker. I think we will be safe this season, but my worry is that so does ellis and o'neill. We need to bring in a striker who can add up to 8 goals in the last 16 games to ensure that we are top half. I mean i believe you get nearly 1million for each place you are placed in the premiership so if we can buy a striker for 5-8 million this would be money well spent that would be covered by our finances we bring in for moving up the table.

My worry above all else is what if Oshea and Fletcher get injured who do we bring in then? scary thoughts I know!! and hopefully wont happen but to be a top club you have to have cover and we havent for about 5 seasons that is why we tend to have a mid season slump as we dont have any players to freshen things up or that can make a differance coming off the bench.

6 days left no names being linked, i think the zarate one is dead, i think we might get graham but lets see.. im not to worried, i mean im not going to say lets go and buy half a league of semi decent/unknown players. I think we only need 2 more in until the summer and we will be safe. I think if we beat swansea on tuesday we are pretty safe.

Midfield is covered for now, not with great quality but covered until the summer.

Defence is anything but covered and the noises coming out that Mangane isnt fit is worrying really but with Colback & Gardner helping out, Rose nearly fit, we could patch it up until the summer unless someone becomes available in the next few days.

Upfront we have Fletcher & Wickham, letting Campbell & Saha go means we do NEED a striker this window, MON knows this and I fully trust and expect a striker in and all fingers point to Graham but we will have back ups.

I think MON's main targets will be landed in the summer, however, stop-gap loans look to be the stumbling blocks.

I'm unsure of the amount of loanees allowed, but it seems that the gaffer is keeping his powder dry.

If we were getting Graham, he would have been here for talks by now, surely. It's not as though he lives on the moon.

I have a hunch we will have 3 more faces in before next Thursday.

Graham is a curious one, he could play for Swansea on Tuesday and score against us then sign for us the next day! Add to that he probably wants to play in the cup final so why come to Sunderland?

I think its more match fitness than not being fit in Manganes case mate. Bramble & Killgallon can do a job until the summer

Rose looks like he may be available for Swansea along with Catts and Cuellar. Brown is a who the **** knows when he will be fit case though. Gardener and Colback provide adequate cover until the summer at full back if the main targets cannot be bought and we have a multitude of midfield options now.

However its the striking position I am concerned about and if Fletcher was injured our last few games would be sqeaky arse time. Wickham is not ready to fill his shoes at all. We need either a loan or a buy.

I am happy to wait until the summer for major additions personally and feel that another 10 points will be sufficient to stay up now anyway. 10 points from 48 on offer isnt a hard ask and if we cannot do that then we dont deserve to stay up?

Hope the club's just doing a swan; calm and quiet on the surface, but working like **** behind the scenes!

I cant believe we would have let Campbell go without getting another striker in. One new striker HAS to be the minimum!

Midfield and defence can get by to the end of the season if necessary though.

We will probably sign someone were not even talking about yet.

For me signing NDiaye was the major one, we have been lacking what he can bring o our midfield, we have got a CB in too so anything else is icing o the cake.

Campbell gone, Killa, Bramble, not geting contracts, Brown crocked (for ever). Already didn't have a full quota in the squas. I think were just about safe and there's going to be a lot going on in the summer. Maybe a loan or two (prbs defenders) more cover for two but not much. Be surprised if we got Graham before next week, Bent is rumour rubbish.

Like yourself PM I expect another 3-4 signings AND I am expecting MON to pull off a major coup and shock us all with a top notch signing.
See how easily pleased I am.

    Totally agree with this.
MON will get the players he wants for his team when he is ready. If a loan is the way to `tick over` then so be it.
ffs Bruce would have had another full team by now.

I think there's at least 2 more incoming, Ji & Frazier wouldn't have been sold without a striker lined up, and MON has stated several times about the CB problem.
