Now with only 5 1/2 hours left off the transfer window & with tonight vital game to plan for , do you think the saints management will surprise us fans with another signing ?
Pleased so far and think there may be other players being looked at, but remember there is now a loan window opening. Any position that we don't fill and which may cause us problems may be filled with a loanee.
No. Plus I don't think we need to, either. But I've been wrong before about this new Southampton FC. I'm ambitious for it, I always have been. But these last few seasons have been the only time, when the club's ambition outgrew mine. Yes, I mentioned signing Kevin Keegan, in another thread. But I always knew the club would remain small, while they were located at The Dell, and had that old school boardroom mentality. These days, Cortese astonishes me on a weekly basis, with his can do attitude.
I don't think we'll rush, and I expect us to secure a centre back on loan. Whether that occurs today or in the next few days remains to be seen, though I'd suggest it is more likely to be the latter. COYS
Billy was quite a big rabbit to hide in that hat. He couldn't fit another rabbit in there.....could he?
No. I think Saints are done in terms of permanent transfers. Perhaps a loan but nothing to make our jaw-drop with excitement. Sharp was a fantastic deal, I was absolutely delighted about him signing.
Maybe in the loan market, as others have said, for positions of concern such as a CB. I am more than happy with yesterday's rabbit, one William Louis Sharp, and Tadanari Lee, plus Puncheon is back - he had been gone so long it seems like a new signing. It's been a good window as far as Saints are concerned.
Got to agre with you. can't see any more perm buys but can see a decent loan CB signing happening. Think this is what we need at the moment. How is Hoover's injury ?
Especially when it was reported earlier in the season that he was apparently not interested in signing for a club so far south. I think a cold English winter snap might have helped to change his mind. Plus some money, of course. please log in to view this image
I know you're not being perfectly serious, but he has never said he didn't want to move South. It was perhaps a more suitable excuse for fans to use, as no one knew at that he was given 2 or so months notice that his baby was not as it should be and may not survive. Nigel seemed very to the point that it was "personal issues" and there was nothing we could do about it. Welcome aboard I say!
No, unless anything has been agreed previously I think NC + NA are done and preparing for tonight. I would be inclined to say unless we get any other injuries there wont be any loans either, due to the signings we have made already; Lee, Sharp, Falque + Punch.
Know what..? I actually thought I'd typed rumoured, rather than reported. Consider I meant rumoured. That's what happens when you're trying to think of how the hell to play the guitar better and type about football matters at the same time.
Moving to Hampshire with a guaranteed well paid job ... there are worse things in life, and worse ways of starting afresh which maybe he/they want(s) to do. I have my own personal issues preventing me getting to SMS tonight, but I'm sure he'll get a warm welcome.
Of that you are more or less guaranteed. With him being shown and possibly Tad Lee getting some time on the pitch, we should have a fair sized gate as well.
