I think his time here was just too soon for him, but credit to him,he has worked hard on his game. There were times that we saw glimpses of what he could do, but the end product just never materialized. Good luck to him & i'm sure if he keeps knocking them in like that, he'll be back in the PL in a few years.
A bit like Boateng, who fell over after every pass. Jozy always got penalties though (which is incredibly for a Hull City player) because people couldn't cope with his strenght and ended up pushing him over.
Ah right, cheers. I always thought he should play as a winger / wide striker - he was brilliant at running with the ball, scaring defenders and his crossing was exceptional but he couldnt finish.
He only scored one goal all season and he played a fair few games, but I remember at the time thinking he hardly ever had a shot, I think it was more that he didnt get near the goal often enough causing his lack of goals than an issue with his finishing. A bit like Proschwitz now, who's shooting and heading are probably very good, but he can't get near the ball to show us.
Precisely. He was great at running with the ball with pace and power though and his crossing was brilliant. I never understood why he didnt play wide.
What a coincidence this video show one of his goals Maybe the highlights should feature players running up and down and tackling and no goals.
I ****ing loved it when he did that. It was a brief moment of brilliance in the midst of defeat after defeat. Hutton's a ****, and he got owned.

Not many strikers have succeeded at City recently, they've all come here and been mediocre, with the exception of the odd glimpse of quality. Altidore wasn't the only one. It's why it's good to see Simpson doing so well, as he's had alot of criticism. And, a ten minute video on youtube isn't the greatest indicator of whether a striker is any good.
I thought he was terrible and couldn't finish, I also thought he had a terrible attitude glad to see he's doing ok though.
Really well taken goal, I liked the celebration music being played "born in the USA", nice touch that.
