just got back from Germany and I tried 14 different sausages. The beef currywurst was the best. Back in the UK I like pork and chorizo butchers sausage. Any more sausage fans out there?
Love sausage although nowadays it doesnt always love me. My preference is good old fashioned Cumberland sausage. Slaley Hall also does a very good local produced sausage but dont know where from. Not too keen on European sausage as too spicy for my palate.
You'll struggle to get a better British style pork sausage than these: please log in to view this image They also do a very good Cumberland sausage.
I'm married to a butchers daughter who has his own shop and her dad makes his own..... Pork with just salt pepper and nutmeg simple but ****ing top of the range
Sausages are awesome if they're not from cheap cuts of meat. The worst are chippy sausages (sorry Albert) cos it's just mushed up face and bollocks and feet etc.
I used to beel away when the missus spend over £2 on a pack of sausages but now I wouldn't pay less than £3 for a pack unless they were short dated. You really do get what you pay for. When cooking, the sign of a top notch sausage is the amount of fat the sausage sheds. Less fat = better quality.
