Seems like british people like a good moan. But reading **** on here and other places, it seems like british people hate britain and hate british people. For example, Khan being defeated and Haye, Beckham since he met posh, Lewis Hamilton since he didn't win F! inhis debut year, Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Cheryl Cole, Ricky Gervias for not being funny, are a few people hated here. Is this true? Or are internet forums a bad place to make judgments on this?
Whilst ( in my opinion ) the answer to both your questions is ' Yes ' - it is actually worse than you think - there is an obvious xenophobia displayed by British people - whereas foreigners appear to be much more tolerant to other nationals. I believe that the worst example of this is that Britains expect everyone else to speak English ( abroad as well as at home.) - but others, here, are free to add their opinion.
I think where people like Haye and Khan are concerned (both of whom I actually like), Britons are just more honest than others. Why should we pretend to like them just because they happen to have been born in the same part of the world as us? People are too ashamed these days to be proud of this country's real achievements, its people, its inventors, its scientists, its authors, etc. But seriously, why should they give a **** about the likes of Posh Spice? I don't really hate anyone in modern popular culture, more the people who make them famous for doing nothing at all and who believe they're on-par with Beethoven, Shakespeare or Picasso.
Hate is a strong word that's often misused. How many times have we heard someone say " I hate onions?" "I hate that shirt." etc. I wouldn't believe that too many Brits actually hate their homeland, they just get a bit peeved at some of the strange stuff that goes on in any country. As for hating celebrities, it's all just a matter of finding something to whinge about, and Brits are not alone when it comes to whining, peoples of all nations do it. We laud, applaud and adore a lot of things, but as human beings, we also whinge, whine and pick fault to our heart's content.

It seem that only about 2pc of greater London are Pakistani or Pakistani descendants. There are less Poles in the UK than Pakistanis. So if there are major problems in the UK, chances are that they belong at the feet of the home grown product. Maybe it's time to stop blaming others.
