    Afternoon Swansea fans.

I think Routledge is a good signing for you guys and you've already added some more depth to what is already a good side. Having watched some Swansea matches last season I had been a little concerned with your defending from set pieces and wide positions.

Do you feel that is an area that needs addressing or are you currently satisfied with the squad?

Good luck for the new season.

Good thoughts in fairness, and most level-headed Swans fans would agree with you. We have the basis of a good side, but we'd generally (and I'm referencing what I think is the consensus opinion) like to see some defensive cover brought in, as well as a massive ugly dominating keeper.

If we get injuries in key positions at the back, we'll need more cover, but today I was wondering whether Brendan intends to wait until the season starts before filling the second "long term loan" slot. That way we can see if player in a certain position is definitely needed, and we'd have the flexibility to bring someone in at short notice, wherever we need them to fit in.

I'd agree that we need a few more defenders, and a goalkeeper while we're at it.
The back line of Taylor, Caulker, Williams and Rangel is a good one. But if anyone of those gets injured, we might be in a bit of trouble.

Not too much trouble Monk can cover Cbs, and Tate can cover Full backs and CB.
but I agree, maybe we need another LB/CB

Would like to get in Emnes then aswell. Will be a decxent little sqaud with the GK

But we must stress that any GK coming in MUST be ugly. That is key. Right Scott? :p

It helps man! In that split second when a striker is through on goal, if you've got some 6'6" monster gurning at you while storming off his line it'd be damn hard to keep your cool... :p

definately a commanding keeper, I also see us vulnerable in defence, strengthening there is required. Happy with who is likely to be first choice, but depth is lacking

Brendan Rodgers has moulded a team in the true sense of the word. Team spirit is a key ingredient that BR has nurtured and built on . And Brendans motivational magic dust can 'move mountains' as one of the journos on his Kilimanjaro charity climb put it.

He's slowly but steadily keeping the spine of last season and adding the extra quality.

One big prestige signing is due though...and I think (as has been said ) Gkeeper and defenders will also be signed this week.

Yes an experienced keeper who can adapt to the way we play is essential, will be much happier once we've signed someone of that calibre along with another defender. Caulker will be a good signing I think, he's tall and very good on the ball and although lacking experience will be a key player for us at the back alongside Williams. Monk may struggle with fitness and may play a lesser role as the season progresses whilst I can see Tate being used mostly as a utility sub.
