    I think GOD was an astronaut from some far away planet. Maybe he artificially inseminated Mary to produce Jesus.

    One day a select group will leave this planet before it ends and either they or their offspring will find another planet. If there is no advanced civilisation there, maybe someone from Earth will become a GOD there.

    We can only guess and, as no-one knows, anyone's guess is a good as that of anyone else.

    PS. Haven't voted as I don't fully understand the question. I believe there was an astronaut who might well have been called GOD but I don't believe there is an almighty GOD overseeing us at this time. So is that a NO?

    Ron, could be, the universe is very old, but it's just a theory.
    I don't BELIEVE in things that are dreamt up to provide an answer to the most difficult of questions.
