The £ooners say they want Jose to replace Arsene. Now Ar$enal, the best-run club in football, want a sugar daddy too. I think Platini and FFP should stop not allow this. What do other Blues think?
i think they would be mad to pay high wages and not sell their best players, they have to think of the share holders and in wenger they have a manager that they can trust, so why rock the boat? it aint broke
we may have won loads more than you the last 10 years and taken over as the best team in london but........ we have no soul, so don't go there
Nope, you don't want to buy European Cups and success. You feel empty and shallow. In fact, I don't even count our European Cup win
If I didn't know better I'd say the Chavski are feeling threatened. Plus of we did go that route we'd do it the right way (not City)
How sad is this thread. To know as we do that our great love for the game of football has, like many other things in life become so money orientated it has ruined what was a good down to earth passionate sport where on a Saturday afternoon two teams came together as (mostly equals) to battle it out on a pitch. Some people live their whole lives thinking money is the answer to everything, but it seldom is, yes it brings power, riches, posessions, (or in our case cups and trophies) but rarely the contentment and the feeling that we used to get many years ago after we won a game. A lot of the younger supporters won't understand this, but from my point of view any team that can get to the top without that money will have achieved a greater win than we have. So no I don't want to see any teams bought out, but sadly it has to happen to remain as 'equals' now the precedent has been set.
It has always been down to money. From chapman in the 30s to Real in the 50s to Liverpool in the 80s. The clubs with the most cash who spend it and manage it best win.
The more money pouring into the EPL , the better . T wonder what all 20 EPL teams will be like if each was given £1 billion from new buyer .
Great post Angel or Devil. Yes it is true there has always been money in football but long gone are the days when a team like Nottingham Forest can win the European cup or Ipswich becoming a European power. Don't get me wrong I'd love a sugar Daddy at Spurs and have had the success you have had over the last 10 years but it would be nice if there was a more level playing field for all teams Problem is if financial fair play was brought in Man U would be even more dominant than they already are.
