Would it be worth a bid? Seems no one else is interested now and have other targets. Obviously Spurs will need the cash so would a bid of 10-15M be in order? Of course, that is a lot to pay for a back up.
Depends on the formation we want to Play. I still genuinely believe we should go for him. A 4-3-3 with Mikel, Ramires and Modric would be very potent and we would retain the ball well. Possession wise we've been dominated by every good team we've faced which is unlike us
Whatever happens, there's no way Spurs are going to be able to command £40m for him. They should have cashed in last year whilst they had the chance
Spurs are skint after another season without Champs League and Modric is a year older. So they will get less now. Levy's gamble backfired: he should have cashed in last year
Tottaly agree he's no where near good enough for the Champions of Europe, sell em to barnsley or grimsby or even arsenil
Sugar Daddy Dictionary definition: Sugar daddy is a slang term for a man who offers money or gifts to a younger person in return for companionship or sexual favours I fail to see how Roman constitutes a Sugar Daddy, he is giving money to a football club, not a person, the club is about 60 years older than him, so how could he be its "daddy". And unless Roman has been getting creative with the training cones after hours, I fail to see where sexual favours come into play.
Ok ... I'll bite and give a serious reply. Firstly you won the biggest trophy in Europe ( i know you had luck but then look at the luck that Barca had in previous years or united etc. etc.) and the FA Cup but....in the league you undoubtedly had problems even after you got rid of AVB...You've lost Drogba who was a massive player for you especially in big matches and while Lampard has recaptured his form (in a slightly deeper position) along with Cole, I think there are problems beyond AVB that still excist. Secondly you look like you've won the race for the Hulk and Hazard but I'm not sure they are all you need to catch up the massive gap between you and the top of the prem. Thirdly, while I was in favour of selling Modric for £40m Levy seems to hold a grudge...he won't have forgotten about the Frank Arnesen (spelling) row all those years ago and he seems determined to kill the idea that we can be walked over by more successful clubs when it comes to our players so I doubt that you'll get him this season either...but I do think you need a player like him...hope you don't get one but I think that you'll have your pick of players along with city. If you don't strengthen wisely you could well find yourself in a similar situation next season and find that your luck runs out (like the year of the other Barca semi final)...like I said all successful teams need luck...but you can't rely on getting it.
We have Lampard, Ramires, Mikel, Essien and Meireles in CM. I dont think we have any problems there. Ramires and Mikel grew into awesome players at the back end of last season, and if Lampard can keep his form we should be fine. Its wingers we lack, Mata is the only one we have atm. Hazard will be a great signing, and Hulk to replace Drogba sounds ace to me.
Of course we had problems, a ****ing great fixture back log coupled with injuries and suspensions - What on earth did you expect?
Still maintain we would've come at least 4th had we not had such a packed fixture list. Luckily we didn't need to
