Hi guys, do we need to get loan players in, or do you think we have enough cover in the squad as it is? I was hoping for an out and out striker in the window, but as that did not materialise I would like to see at least one loanee in that position.
Morning olddellboy...........I would like to see genuine left midfield cover for Lallana, rather than someone that can play that position. This N'Guissin fella is he cover or Forte? Guly is not effective out there and is much better going down the middle. The diamond type football played against UTD is good but only against the better quality teams. We do not have too many of them in league 1 !! I would say NA is close to what he wants for a 1st team with good impact players, I just felt he needed and does need a couple of players to freshen things up.
To be fair the squad is good enough (on paper) as it is but we are not as tight a unit as Brighton. Not too sure about fitness either, i think it could be better. Shay Given in as keeper. Another CB as good as Fonte and younger than Jhaidi. A striker as good as Lambert or younger Connolly/Barnard. Forte's 8 goals in 100 games don't fill me with much hope.
