With us getting linked with the likes of James Collins and Chris Samba over the last couple of weeks since MoN took over I thought, do we actually need another CB

We currently have 5 in the form of Wes Brown, John O'Shea, Titus Bramble, Michael Turner and Matt Kilgallon and IMO thats a canny group of central defenders along with the two young prospects in Louis Laing and John Egan.

Personally I think Killa has saved us the need to go out and sign another central defender, he has looked good since he came back into the setup and was harshly treated under Brucie, maybe we will need to in the summer after we know the outcome of the Bramble trial but for me central defence is not a priority.

On the other hand we still need to strengthen the defence but in the full back areas.

Anyone think of any good right backs and left backs that would improve us?

    Nedum Onuoha?
    Vedran Corluka?
    Ronald Zubar?
    Stephen Warnock?
    Taye Taiwo?

We always need players who are better than those we have at any time.

I think MON's initial success will have stopped the alarm bells ringing in SOL.

I foresee funds being made available ........ in the summer.

The best we can hope for is a couple of loanees to boost the numbers whilst we have so many injuries (11 injuries I think it is)

Until we are good enough to compete, genuinely, for a top 7 spot, we need better players in any position we can get them.

    That simple.
