...who goes out and gets us the players and MoN does what he does best in getting them to gel and grinding out results or not?

I am absolutely delighted that MoN our manager but for some reason maybe I am overreacting, maybe because we have only done 1 deal I don't know I think hes maybe abit behind with regards to transfers after his time out of the game, I am not calling MoN at all before anyone comes out with it but if the foreign style of letting the manager manage and letting a director of football/head coach sort out the transfers with obv. the manager having the last word.

It seems as though that is the way Spurs have gone with them having 4 people 2 of which are Levy and AVB who decide on new transfers and it seems at Newcastle that Graham Carr has a big input with Pardew having the last word.

Should Short and MoN sit down and put a plan together, get a group of top scouts together with a head scout/director of football and decide on the style of football that MoN wants to be played at the club we then let MoN get on with managing the players at his disposal and let the team that has been put together to bring in new players with MoN obv. having the final decision.

I think the minute we appoint a director of football is the minute we will be looking for a new manager..doubt MoN would have that.

I think selling clubs are just digging there heels in atm. Think ffp is having a huge effect on this window too.

Wolves are being ridiculous they could have sold Fletcher and Jarvis and had 20m in the bank. Theyve already bought their replacements so they are playing a risky game.

Mon has stated we've bid for numerous players so we just need to wait and see what happens.

I can't see Wolves having such demands come deadline day.

I just dont think a director of football works over here, as in the manager coaches, gets the team playing as a team, the director of football, buys the players for the manager to coach.

It seems to be the way its done abroad, but i cant remember any club over here where its been a roaring success.

MON will probably just write a list and say here shorty, get these for me, and its up to the backroom staff to get them and negotiate the deals (they may get some feedback over price from MON)
