Nope. Even as an ex scum player, he is a perfectly decent guy and a role model to many and was a great player and still very good. I think that is a terrible decision to leave him out.
No wonder he got overlooked, the stupid twat thinks Great Britain is England. Speaking in January, Beckham said: "I would love to be captain. I have led my country before and know how special it would be to lead them into the Olympics."
Based on a football decision I think its right because he is terrible as a footballer and has been for years.
A rich twat at that. Wonder if he was available to train our players on how to deliver a decent ball on the pitch(namely Downing & Adam).
Beckham's only crime is being a bit dim and that's not a crime anyway so, no- I can't be bothered laughing at him.
Na, for some reason I never minded him. GB team is irrelevant; to qualify you had to be too crap to make that quality England team that did so well at the Euros or play for one of the 3 national teams that didn't even make it to the Euros. Or, you are too old & decrepit to make the normal team. Pearce has done a bit of charity work here; He Knows Beckham has experience a world level tournament while the Sister-in-law shagger has only watched one on tv.
As someone said before, he is a role model to so many people and has handled that pressure very well. He hasn't put a foot wrong over a lengthy career and has played for a number of prestigious clubs, I don't think he deserves laughing at. Let's not forget he hates AF just as much as we do.
I would add that as (see my earlier post) this team was never being selected along the "best & brightest" line like any other part of the Olympic team someone should have put a hand on Pearces shoulder & clarified the huge commercial importance of having Becks on the team.
It does sound like a crazy decision for me this one. Over rated he undoubtedly is but Olympic footy from my point of view is just a show event anyway and who better than Becks to sell a few tickets and get a bit of interest up. Now who's gonna tell Psycho that he's got it wrong??
He's had his fair share of affairs though, so hardly snow white. But I don't have anything against him, if I looked that good, I'd be spreading the love too!
One of the luckiest players to have ever played the game for me! Been living off a couple of good seasons at Utd and his relationship with Posh for the last decade! Has not been a good player for so long, incredibly lucky to have earned so much!
To be fair though; he behaves like he knows he's been lucky, whether he's a **** behind the scenes Or not he always behaves with A bit of class & manners. There's no strutting around like the rest of his team mates should apologise for dirtying his presence (Ronaldo) or snarling & snapping like the world owes him one (Rooney) And you'll not see tweets about needing reasons???? About not being selected....(rio?)
He's a bought man, all that sponsorship censors him from saying anything remotely controversial, a boring **** is what he is
Although I can see where Dirty is coming from I agree with you! With all that publicity he gets he could use it to help in some small way to change the world a little, then again he would probably end up dead like others have, allegedly of course!
