One for the statisticians perhaps. Is it just me or do we always lose when Chester isn't playing ? Or at least do we never win ? Our dips in form last season seemed to come in the periods he was out injured. Should if be he and Dawson if we play a back four - that would seem unfair on Davies but is it even more unfair on Chester always making him the one we leave out ?

In the league he played in both our wins, our draws against Stoke, Arsenal and Liverpool and our losses against Southampton and Burnley.

Davies and Dawson played so well its hard to fault Bruce for leaving Chester out yesterday.

if chester doesn't play we let at least two goals in, including late ones. and we don't score at least two goals.

We are a different team when Chester plays as he brings into play the midfield with his passing and calmness on the ball . Without him it's hoofball . Very unfair to leave him out considering Davies form this season but Bruce didn't sign Chester so I guess it's the easy choice for him to make . I think the starting line up on Saturday were all signed by Bruce the lads who got us in the prem are discarded !

Agreed, would much rather Chester and Dawson at this stage. Davies isn't at the level he was last season and shouldn't be an automatic name on the team sheet.

I don't know how Bruce can leave Chester out for anybody apart from Dawson, he is the consumate defender, if only he could distribute the ball better then he could take Huddlestones place
