We have Troy who was brought in to partner DG ,Marvin started so well he knocked Troy down the pecking order! You have already probably read this article from the offish site,
but I do really like the sound of Marvins comments,if he backs up his words we should be ok for next season in the scoring department!!

Yes - I think they'll be the number one pairing if DG goes. We'll still need a back-up though - only have kids really, unless Liam finally blossoms (is he still with us?)

It wouldn't surprise me if we target an upper League One player on loan as that back-up and look to a permanent signing for the LB position - MM must be as sick as the rest of us at losing loan players at crucial points in the season and we simply need stability in that position.

I think Troy is Graham's natural replacement.

He's not scored the goals.....but almost everything else about his game has been up thee. Hard work all over the pitch and holding up/aerial ability. Perhaps his technical side isn't as good as Graham's but I'm excited to see how he does next season anyway......he's almost certainly going to score more goals.

Hope so Moose! plus the fact that many players bought in would have thrown a tantrum at not being in the side, Troy just got on with it and kept working hard! I admire him for that alone!!!

i agree MM, and with Sordell having scored so many last season, even though he wasn't played for a fair few games, they'll be a good partnership imho.

The price will be much lower now, it was probably because Peterborough wanted to get promoted and needed him.....and achieving such a thing is going to get Peterborough a good amount of money anyway.

CMS has 1 year on his contract now....if Peterborough don't go up, it'll be hard to see him staying.

The fee would presumably still be higher than we would think to pay though...

Considering he is a watford lad ,it would be great to get him, but I think Posh would want too much! Only way would be for him to run down his contract and leave on a free! I cant see Posh letting that happen!

Deeney is very much in the Graham mould, the only question is whether he can finish. But even if he's only half as good as Graham, and gets similar service, that's 13-14 goals. Not terrific, but Sordell will probably get a similar figure if he starts most of the time. On top of that, Buckley and Cowie can both score more than this season, the inevitable midfield loanee will score. Murray, Whichelow and Mingoia are all well capable of stepping up if given the chance, and our centre backs and holding midfielders have decent goalscoring records considering where they play.

Graham does need to be replaced though, on numbers grounds. If Graham leaves, we're an injury to Deeney away from Massey having to start twice a week, and Sordell being expected to last 90 minutes twice a week. They'll both go on to do great things, but neither of them are quite up to that yet IMO.

Can't hold this season against him Norway- he's hardly started up front, provided plenty of assists when he did, very energetic from the bench, and has been superb out wide. I'm more worried about Tommy Mooney's opinion that when at Walsall he couldn't hit a barndoor with a banjo.
