hi fellow Norwich fans i was just wondering are we going to get a new keeper as there has not been any news of any but i am worrying that we will be just left with John ruddy and Rudd and steer i don't think rudd & steer are premiership ready. but ruddy him self was abit of a butterfingers but i hope he isn't this season i still think we need a premiership quality goalkeeper for a sub or to be number 1. the Henri landsbury transfer roamer that he has signed but not confirming untill the end of this week i think its rubbish but u never know.

    any thoughts

As Ruddy is our number 1, and we are in the premiership, Ruddy is a premiership keeper and thank God he is OURS

And I'm just saying it is very trying to put up with all these negative comments about a player who was an ever-present in our promotion winning side last season!

andy - I wasn't having a pop at you, I was meaning canariez, tbh, I'd be happy to go with Rudd as back-up!

Most reserve fixtures are on a Tuesday, so he would be fine for most matches <ok>

ok i think we should get a new one then send rudd on loan somewhere so he can get more first team experience i think rudd is a good keeper but i think he needs to get more games under his belt i think just playing reserve games will not be enough. i think him going on loan will make him better and that would be good for norwich what do you think

is marcus hahnemann still without a club? he'd be a good signing. offers experience and ability, shouldn't be on extreme wages and could push ruddy for the number 1 spot too.

Of course technically Ruddy is a Premiership keeper...

but why was he No.4 at Everton?

Forster was number three at Newcastle wasn't he? Didn't stop him having a great season for us.

Why the witch-hunt? Players improve don't they? He certainly has.

what class goalie is going to be content tocome here to sit on the bench. the only ones i can think of ,i.e. coming just for the money, are exactly the type of player that PL wouldn't touch in a month of sundays. signing a young and hungry goalie? we've got two of those at the club already. i can't see another goalie coming in with rudd and steer in reserve.

I agree ge - I'm quite happy with our keeper situation, I see young Gunn has just been selected for the England under 17's!
I know he's Man. City now, but he learned his trade at Norwich!

Could be number one for us next year, as Pardew has said any of the three keepers could be number 1 next year, wouldn't mind him coming back to you guys on loan if your looking for a keeper.

NEED a new keeper? no. LIKE a new keeper? Of course, the more competition there is for places the better and that includes every position on the pitch.

It would be nice, but not essential. I have confidence in Rudd. I think he is potentially a better keeper than Ruddy and he has got to get a chance some time.

Remember when Gunn got injured, everybody was really worried about Andy Marshall being given a go. I know that he was not exactly the best keeper in the world and he certainly blotted his reputation with us when he left for the binners, but actually, he did pretty well despite being very young at the time (first game being a 2-1 win over a Newcastle side that were flying at the time).

The Green came in and at first we were all a bit worried by his inexperience. Look how that worked out.
