Remembering my footballing days shooting on goal was the best part of training....

i understand that in the game it's very different..you don't have much time to get the shot off..

BUT that is whats required to win games...4 games now and only 2 goals....

Robbie Williams top scorer..what position does he play ?..full back is it ?..

put him up front at least he knows how to shoot...

    Good second though against Burnley..

Sadly the answer to your question is almost definately yes AWAYINBC. But the main question is what do they practice shooting at exactly. If it's at a goal then the added question of does it have a keeper between the posts at the time and how far out do they practice from. It is rather sad that those employed to do the shooting and the ones who presumably practice most are not the ones who are generally successful at it. I suspect Williams does a bit of practice but nowhere near the amount of the strikers. However, he has only scored from dead ball situations so far which for a fullback is fair enough. Argyle have not managed one goal yet from any open play. The number of shots on target if you read the stats and believe them is not even that high so the majority of shots have been off target. The sadder fact is that the two you would expect to do the job don't contribute much at all. That being Chadwick and Feeney. They work hard I have no doubt but there isn't an end product and there doesn't look like being one soon. We desperately need Griffiths in the side and hope he will produce the goods because getting the odd goal from dead ball situations isn't going to win many games.

Actually I have it on good authority that they don´t. They were losing so many balls the club could not afford to cover the cost of shooting practice.
They now take it in turns to kick each other in the backside, the Physio originally object due to the risk of injury but after watching them try for 15 minutes decided the risk was negligable.

Id be in favour of chucking purse up front. Only seen the aldershot game this season, but if we are gunna play hoofball, might as well shove the biggest and ugliest up there.
