Now that Scotlands elite are struggling to stop Championship sides poaching their star names, is joining forces the only way for them to have a future? Obviosly a few things would need to change. The team could be called Celgers or Rangtic. They could wear blue hoops. Their fans could be known as Fenihuns. They could play in League 2. Thoughts?
Turning a 2 horse race into a 1 horse race is not the way to improve the SPL's fortunes. The best way forward, in my opinion, is for some of the other teams to merge and provide some genuine competition for the Old Firm.
Southampton are offering Hooper 3x his current salary. Jelavic will be off if any serious offer is made.
http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/footba...fer-to-treble-striker-s-wages-86908-23705411/ Southampton can afford to pay him 3x more than Celtic can
They have bid for him twice, we said no twice, the player said he doesn't want to leave..........where was the struggle?? Pretty sure we are also able to up his wages, he is on a contract he signed a few years back when he was a relatively raw talent & bit of a gamble. Contract talks are to be held with him in the summer. He was probably offered more money to stay in England when he joined us so don;t see money as his main motivator. Wonder where they got this information from, its either bollocks or Southampton are trying tap him up?
Seeing as Man Utd have won 12 of the last 19 league titles (since the inception of the EPL) should they be docked points at the beginning of every season to give the others a chance?
