I remember when we were brought out by FSG and even up until this summer people were mocking us by saying "FSG have no money" even after spending huge amounts in January rival fans still tried to mock us by telling us that we hadn't actually spent any money and that we should be cautious.

Now we know that the purchase of LFC was not a leverage purchase, FSG has installed the right manager and they have backed him in the transfer market (they have even gone as far as employing an expert in the transfer market to ensure the manager isn't too pre-occupied by making signings and can spend time managing the coaches and managing the players)

so the question now is Does anyone still doubt FSG?

To early to tell!! H&G also looked promising at the beginning.
Although IMO the whole atmosphere of the club feels much better than at any time i can remember (partly due to KK) and I think the non leverage buyout at a low price has helped us alot in enabling us to bring in the players we wanted without having to sell anybody to fund the transfers.
The future is looking brighter for liverpool, but fool me twice, i dont think so, i will wait to make up my mind on FSG.

We should still remain cautious over FSG. Even TH & GG spent a fair bit in their first transfer window.

Surely the mockers were all rival fans just wanting us to fail? They'll always say the same things even if they have proof it's not true. Don't light your oven yet, I doubt if there'd be too many eating humble pie- even if we won the treble they'd find something to have a go at.
I suppose there were plenty of doubters amongst our own ranks, after our recent experiences with yanks it's hardly surprising, and then the lull in our transfer activity which drove some mad.
We need a good season to restore our confidence and I'm optimistic about it.
Anyway, it's our club, who cares what anyone else thinks?

I'm afraid you just can win with fans of other clubs

If we don't spend any money they say we're skint
If we do spend money they call him Cheque Book Kenny (pretty ****ing rich coming from Mancs, Chavs & Citeh fans, considering what they've spent over the years)

All the signs are that FSG are sticking to their promises and although it's early days, the future looks a whole lot brighter than it did a year ago.

I can understand the caution from both of you. However, I think we all know how much Kenny loves this club. If you have any doubt, read his most recent autobiography. He is also an extremely shrewd man. There is no way he'd have taken LFC on if he wasn't completely convinced by the new owners.

I also have a mate (season ticket holder) who has family in Boston. John Henry is worshipped there for what the company has done for the Red Sox. I feel we can be convinced that they mean what they say.

I still agree with the sentiments of the cautious fans. I hope we are on a good path but right now ok we are splashing cash baout but what if it is all loans? what if it dries up?

the real moves behind the scenes are still up in the air. I'd like to see us publish freely the clubs books for everyone to see, i'd like to see moves made on the stadium in a more "concrete" way.

The stuff like who's doing what (ayre, comolli, kenny etc) are all fine... sadly G&H could have done those things as they didn't actually cost anything. Thanksfully though its FSG thats making the right decisions, so they've done well so far, i hope it keeps going right but the burned are always cautious.

I judge on action not words and am comfortable with our new owners. Classy, refreshingly honest, savvy & aggresive - his wife is rather attractive to boot!

I think we landed a good 'un

I was wary of H&G when they arrived because they came on the back of the Glazers and looked to be after the same thing: debt. When you look at the records of H&G and FSG there's a clear distinction.

So while caution is obviously wise, there's no comparison and I don't see any other clubs that have such great owners - Utd in debt, Arsenal won't spend, Roman picks the team, City just throw money at it, Wigan have a lovely owner but no money, West Ham are porno toys, Newcastle is a betting chip and so on. All simplistic assessments but that's what we'll get of FSG.

Simplisitic assessment? Not as bad as the others.

    General.

I never really thought about it that way. There really are some very poor owners out there

I've got no worries about these guys, you can tell they're interested in sports and enjoy creating a succesful team, just look at their past ventures. Henry seems to be trying to learn about the traditions of our club and i really like the idea of him occaisionally answering questions on twitter, it shows he cares!

As for transfers i was convinced after Suarez and Carroll that there was nothing to worry about, the way i see it is they identify a target and then bid whatever they can to ensure the transfer goes through. Im optimistic and can see us having a good 10years or so!

At the end of the day, actions are louder than words. Anybody can promise the world and it doesn't happen, so i'll judge FSG on what they do not what they say. It's looking good so far.

Although I can understand the cautiousness from some fans, I think these guys are nothing like H&G. FSG are proven in their sports ventures and they have proper strategies. Someone mentioned Red Sox as an example and I agree, they have proven they can turn fortunes around.

The additions of KK, Commoli, Steve Clarke and Kevin Keen is positive because everyone is doing their role in the backroom and everyone knows what they are meant to be doing.

Once the stadium plans are in place and we start work, everyone will see, FSG are serious.

I will remain sceptical until John Henry and FSG fulfil their overall aim and that is destroying both Alex Ferguson and Manchester United.Until Fergusons head is delivered on a plate,I will remain cautious.
I won't be happy until Liverpool destroy Manchester United.

Are you sure about that?...They may not even have to bother about destroying Manchester United...They are doing a fine job of it themselves.
Rooney is going to be the biggest laughing stock in English football when they whore he was shagging appears on ''I'm a celebrity get me out of here'' tells all his dirty little secrets. This may send him to the divorce courts and he will have more...''Personal problems''.
Giggs facing 7 years in prison for purjery...and also being dragged through the courts by Imogen Thomas when she sues him for millions.
Ferguson and Manchester Uniteds '''Ambassador'' <laugh> Bryan Robson aka Captain Crutches are going done for corruption.Due to Fergusons age,he may only get 15 years behind bars.Robson...25 years.
The summer of shame is getting under way.
