Derby County are one of my favourite clubs for taking our most unwanted record of low points in the EPL and at the time, I didn't think we would lose it for decades.

I'm sure when Derby County bagged the lowest return of 11 points. I reckon they were resigned to having that for years but after seeing Southampton go into their 4th league game with no wins today and seeing Arsenal 4-1 up after 45 mins today, could Derby fans see some light at the end of the gloomy record low points tunnel?

Its inconceivable with all the money now in the game that clubs would register less than 11 points but played 5 lost 5 isn't going to give Southampton players much confidence going forward is it. We all know up here at our club how these losing runs can easily spiral out of control and if they go another 2 or 3 games without a win, maybe that record points return will be on?

I reckon the football prayer mats are out in equal measure both in the Midlands and the South coast.

From what I've seen of Saints they look like a half decent side, but we all know newly promoted sides often start playing above their level.

Less than 11 points? I'd say it's impossible, but if you fancy it, I'd ask a bookie for odds, they'll be massive.

Kelvin Davies doesn't seem to have improved since he left us.

I think Saints have enough to scrape through though & I hope they do.

I've had some great craic with them on here.

I can't forgive Derby for taking Colin Todd from us.
Our ex youth team coach who became Derby manager, knew how good he was and snapped him up.
Bloody Brian Clough I wonder what happened to him? :p

Played 4 lost 4 though and that after they are playing well and that can become habit forming. We are not playing well but we are not losing either. That too is habit forming.

They have played both Manchesters and Arsenal in their 1st 4 games so its a bit early to compare them to Derby. Don't forget they still have to play the mags, derby took 6 off them when they broke the record

Cest, I agree with what you've said here, whilst I'm concerned that we haven't won in the league now for 11 games, we seem to be drawing more games than losing, which is great because we couldn't do this under Bruce, I'm pleased with this because a point is always better than nothing, and it can count as an unbeaten run, however I feel this run of draws can only go on for so long, we need a win soon or the boo boys will be out regardless

You must be as old as me if you remember Toddo. One of the best players I ever saw.

Mind you , we did win a big silver pot without him a season or two after :)
