According to Offical web site Dnipro Date has been changed to the Home leg being 18th Aug 19:30 and away 25th KO TBC
Why? Apparently a UEFA decision. Television before fans ? Or more? Ukrain TV (1+1) owner is also part owner of Dnipro and has paid UEFA a tidy sum for exclusive rights to show this years games in the Ukraine. Surely not further shenanigans among the top flight of football politiciams ? Whatever, why no protest from the club about losing the 2nd leg home advantage?
Morning all. Been reading about decision. It seems that 58 is right. Kolomoyskyi is one of their owners and is reported to be worth an absolute fortune, 6 billion. It could be that UEFA were in fact paid for the rights. I really hope that there is no back handers going on. That aside, Dnipro seem to be a pretty good team. They finished 4th in their league last season behind Shaktar, Dynamo Kiev. 2 teams that have huge European credentials. They seem to have a couple of Brazilians in their squad, so if they are as good as those from Shaktar will cause us problems. A real test for the team but we beat some of Europe's big teams last time out so we can beat them. STAND UP IF YOU STILL BELIEVE
