... for *someone* else EADT have just reported he won't be coming to us. I think he did a great job while he was here, was a huge part in getting us out of the bottom 3, but I couldn't see him being the long term answer. We have plenty of possibilities up front now which I am more than happy with. So I say good luck to him, a 3 year deal at his age is a great deal for him so hope he does well (just not against us)
Have to agree with this, with us signing McGoldrick, McLean and then Nouble it never really looked that likely that DJ would be coming back so Thank you for everything you have done for us and good luck in the future, I certainly have no hard feelings if he moves to Palace or the like as it is his decision and I feel he will be making it for all the right reasons
In 2 minds about this, I think we would've been stupid to offer him a 3 year deal probs on a considerable wage and as many of you say we've just brought in loads of strikers ontop of already having a fair few. But then out of all those strikers I don't really see a goal scorer apart from Chopra so, we've just lost a substantial goal threat to our team and IMO not really gained one with any of the new strikers!!
Hampy must be devastated that he won't see DJ play in a town shirt again. Perhaps he could watch him on you tube.
For me this is a real loss to town as none of our curent strikers will be as much as a goal threat. However when DJ signs he will be on high wages for this league and offering a player of his age a three year deal could come back to haunt his new club. I think DJ has been really professional about this and all the managers have said what a great person he is. So best of luck DJ, I just hope you don't score against us later in the season.
See hull are in driving seat now with bid of around a million. As much as I'd love to see him back mick obviously resigned himself to not getting him with other striking options he's brought in. Thank you dj for all your efforts in helping us out of the mire.
