Just seen a headline on BBC that hints at DJ not extending his loan. Unfortunately at time of writing the link didn't work so I couldn't read the article.
    Thoughts?

It all depends who the next manager is at QPR when Hughes get's fired. Personally I can't see him ever making their starting line up and he will always be on the periphary of things there. I reckon that if he does well up until his loan expiring we have every chance in making the deal permanent. For me he still has a bit to prove but he is a quality striker so long as we supply him with decent service.

OK, they fixed the link and it's better news than I first thought. He's not keen on extending the loan but is open to a permanent move. I think that means he could be leaving QPR in January and wants something long term and not another loan move.

I would love him to come here on a permanent deal. I can just imagine DJ and Barnett being a very good strike partnership in the weeks to come. <ok>

Agreed, I'd like to see him join permanently too.

You have to read between the lines: he doesn't want to be here beyond his loan and the comment about a permanent switch is a sweetener for the remainder of his stay.

I don't think he will sign and I can fully understand why he wants his future settled. He's not long since moved his family down from Blackpool. Would he have any kind of settled future at Portman Road? No chance if we're relegated.

I would love him to sign but my head is ruling my heart on this one at the moment.

Yorkie I think results will ultimately decide if he stays here or not but I would love him to stay here and be the main man! Chopra can do one as far as I'm concerned. <ok>

Seems the general concensus is stay. And I'm all for him staying. However I feel he is putting himself in shop window for a move and hopefully to someone in a better position than us.

DJ is an enigma and its fair to say so is Chopra - Both players have achieved stand out success at some clubs and bombed at others

DJ was cack for Leicester, but really ticked with Blackpool and when you guys signed Chopra I was jealous, I really wanted him at Leicester - Not so sure now though after reading your thoughts about him

ITFC has been used a lot lately for that Mad ads so it wouldn't surprise me if the likes of DJ and Reo found other clubs this way. DJ I would keep, Reo not (on current form)

Reo been ever so disappointing. When he signed I thought, great, experinced, played in prem last few years just what we need but his contribution been minimal. If he was showcasing himself certainly not done himself any favours. I do fear dj will get a better offer.

Blimey, surely this calls for a generic Leicester WUM thread, doesn't it?

I have to say I can't see him staying with us past January, I imagine there will be other Championship clubs who will be showing an interest and in reality most of clubs at this level are a better option for him currently in terms of stability, partly due to our league position and the size of our squad I imagine he'll have seen enough by January to realise we're going nowhere fast and would rather be in a team pushing at the other end of the league
