Evening nobbers Haven't been on site for few days and when I do I get it right between the eyes the shock of it I had to go and lay down. It really as sunk in now when I have to log in the Div 1 table the shame of it hopefully for only one season but what I cant forget it took 19 years last time Hi plumber you will getting all excited its nearly that time of year for all those who dont know what I'm on about the TT will be on us shortly.
Was a shock for me too newroader. We were relegated?? Wasn't nice to see when I logged on tonight but I looked at the Lashers and they'd been relegated too so that lifted my spirits a little If you like your TT then there's a motorcycling forum on here too newroader
Also looked in the Championship site and couldn't figure out where our forum was then I twigged. Had a quick Google of some of the grounds that we will encounter. Stevenage looks a doddle to find as does MK Dons, Yeovil is fairly easy to find after a 311 mile trip. Suspect will visit more than I did last year. Look out Monkey Hangers we will be arriving soon
Once the axe dropped my spirits actually lifted !! I'm looking forward to the start of this season more than any for a good few years. I actually think this season will be a good one for PNE and I'm hopefull of witnessing a promotion
Personally I'd be happy with top 6. Anyting higher would be a big bonus. It's going to be a lot more difficult than some people think
newroader, you have a very good memory I am thinking..... Yes I did become excited by the IOM TT races (as always) and with good reason. Those lads tearing round the 37.3/4 mile long course at speeds of up to 195/200 mph, and averaging 130mph for the lap are all heroes and what is their reward ??? . In terms of money peanuts compared with the grossly overpaid prima donnas who are ruining our national sport. In terms of achievement, actually finishing a a race means everything honour and pride being their reward. In all seriousness everyone should see an IOM TT race whether interested in Motor Cycling or not, it is a unique and mind blowing experience that has to be seen to be believed. Blimey I am getting out of breath and goose pimples just thinking about it.. Back to the reality of relegation Well Div 1 is the place we will be for at least one season, so we had better all get used to it....It's a new era for PNE and in it's own way being in Div 1 will create interest and if we can make a decent start who knows what will happen as the season progresses. A decent start will encourage lost support to consider making a return to Deepdale as should seeing some young players on view wearing the shirt with pride etc. A new Div, Manager, players, and more than likely some new supporters joining the ranks. It won't be as bad as everyone first thought being relegated so onwards and upwards we go then.
