First of all I want to say I know there are possibly other threads about this and apologies if there is. I did post it in the "Anfield Arms Pub Thread" but feel I want it turned into a proper debate/discussion. So, here it is: Did anyone else watch 'Dispatches' on Channel Four Monday night? It indicated Mohammed Bin Hammam is indeed corrupt and for me, it was clear Sir Alex is corrupt too. I can't believe how easy they made it look and how many people are involved in this backroom game, Birmingham City's owner is just a front, as are many other Football League club owner's. We're lucky John W Henry and FSG took over Liverpool because Peter Kim was another 'smoke screen' owner who would have inevitably ruined the club. I think its disgraceful how people are involved in it, despite their 'love' for the game, Bryan Robson was unbelievable and Sir Alex is clearly the most powerful manager in the Premiership. My only question is, when talking about loaning players, they mentioned KK, what is his supposed involvement in it? I didn't 100% understand it but I do understand there is a possibility he doesn't know about the reality of some of these loans. The show has left me shocked and angry at these people. Greedy people, why would you want MORE than the millions you have!? Especially if your not going to actually spend it. I'm now convinced that people become paranoid and deluded at the bank balance, they always want more, even though, realistically, they won't spend it. Greed will imprison us all. Ever since I heard that in Rush Hour, I've always had the feeling it has a true meaning, tonight, I've learnt alot. This episode of Dispatches, combined with FIFA corruption allegations and Man City's clear bypass of UEFA's FFP rules is pushing me to re-consider my interest in football. Not to mention the immature behaviour of footballers (Tevez, Modric, Torres etc.) who don't seem to care about tradition, history and not to mention, legally binded contracts. I am truly disgusted at the state of the game, but it feels like no one will or can sort it out. Its beyond repair.

It's hard to see what is really going on! Accusations are thrown around and some are true and have hard evidence to back them up. Other accusations seem to have very little evidence and the persons involved may be unaware of the situation. I don't really understand this part of football and usually avoid these posts as I don't feel qualified to answer and also feel that the people that get involved are just talking nonsense as they will never know what actually goes on. When I walked on the field for Sunday league and gratefully at a bit of a higher level as far as I was concerned every game was an FA Cup Final for Liverpool. I would go into my own head and not even warm up with the team or touch the ball, people thought I was mad but I once got it across to the lads in a cup final, that this was it! No big club was going to come calling none of us were going to be shot into the big time, this was our level and our FA Cup, our moment on the pitch glory or nothing. they seemed to get it and we played a blinder and lost. That's football I suppose. Forget about all this other rubbish, just turn up and support your team, or turn up and play your heart out as it will all be over before you know it.
I doubt it very much, it seems like his power could overrule anyone who tried to expose him. If he had links with a candidate for future presidency of FIFA, I'm sure he could get someone to clear his name from any accusations that would link him with corrupt behaviour. On a side note, Mr Sim said Sir Alex will retire in three years time, a long time isn't it? Or he could just have said that to perk up the buyers because they said they were in it for the long run
Of course I want to, but if everyone followed your advice, these people would win which not only affects their pocket but could potentially affect stuff on the pitch, this is why even people who prefer to keep things on the field should be worried
Wouldn't be suprised if Giggs, Scholes or even Neville became managers of clubs and became part of Ferguson's personal network. Apparently Steve Bruce, Roy Keane and Mark Hughes are all part of it at the moment

I understand your point and we need people to fight these battles, but we also need some players and fans to just believe in the game and keep supporting and playing, which is kind of what I'm on about in a badly worded way.
Everyone will do it, but they'll always know whats going on behind the scenes, that they're support is being manipulated and thrown around like an object. I'm only 16 and starting to hate life for its greed, manipulation and inferences, not just in football.
That's what I mean Jatt, fight your battles but don't get frustrated with the inner workings of football or the world. Always remember the basic, simple parts of the game and enjoy them. Even if you are clever enough to do something about the corruption don't leave the game behind.
Has Mark Hughes actually ever signed anyone from Man Utd. Also heard a few years ago that Hughes and Bruce can't stand each other.
You shouldn't worry about Kenny, given the fact he's been out of management for years and the fact that since he's been back there have been hardly any players sent out on loan, it clearly sounds like posturing.
Does this mean Slur Alky won't be doing any C4 interviews..................every station should do some program on him and then we would never have to listen to him again

Fergie it seems is guilty of using Manu as his own personal toy. he also abuses players signed up to the club by using them as some sort of commodity. The freedom with which they discussed everythng tells us its going on a long time and guards have been dropped, hence despatches, only when they have it so easy for so long do they get SO careless. Fergie is as dirty as hammam, just glad someone bothered to tackle it and bring it out, BBC didn't touch it no surprise there this sort of thing is EXACTLY why the likes of goal line tech have not been introduced
