I say this under hushed whispers after their shameful programme about the ownership of football clubs... Who's gonna be checking out Dispatches tonight? Topic is top Prem footballers on drugs and the whole thing being covered up...sounds interesting and yet could still turn out to be like the other one in being a shamble full of lies.
Despatches used to be a quality investigative program but now it's been dumbed down just like everything else
in Holland, but will be asking Mrs to record for me. I heard a rumour about a player we tried to sign last season was in that mix... I'll see if he's mentioned.
I've read somewhere it's Garry O'Connor who'll be the "multi-millionaire" footballer...unimpressed if it is tbh
Was crap. Big headline, no big names, lots of padding, no direct quotes. Only players they could get to talk on camera were Leon Knight, a well known twat and some mush at Millwall I've never heard of.
The "big name" was Garry O'Connor, and it quite aptly showed footage of his goal against us in the Carling Cup a couple of seasons ago...
i thought John Terry would have been the main subject, but he has got lots of backing to protect him, gonna look on chelsea board to see if they think he needs a mention Edit: no mention of the JT or the program at all, even tho Leon Knight says about Chelsea players `scarpering` from training at the mention of drugs testing
Tbh it wouldn't suprise me at all if half the prem footballers take drugs regularly. If you think of it they get a sh*t load of money can afford anything they want, so they get no highs like the average guy gets for saving up for a much needed holiday or car etc. Im not saying taking drugs is right, but you can see why alot of footballers are alcholics or druggys or both.
Why should we be surprised it seems like modern richboy footballers pretty much do what they want get away with pretty much anything and dont give a **** any old ways
I have a question, what are we exactly defining as 'drugs'? We all have drugs in our body and food supplements are also drugs. Surely the only division is that some are banned and for everything else the players are probably boosted by dietitians to promote performance. Seems a very grey area anyway.
They were talking about players who had taken drugs like cocaine, marijuana etc etc, then also banned steroids...
