Well I was losing faith in journos but I haveto say. Nicely exposed indeed. There are those of us who will be surprised and those of us who pretty much knew already, and there are those that will say "I knew it!!!" The fact Alex Ferguson was up to his short and curlys in dodgy dealings, this is something different from the usual ambiguous unverifyable stories afoot over the years about this and that. For Fergie to be nuts deep in a guy that travels in the same circles as dodgy as 'ell Bin Hammam the disgraced FIFA candidate, this practically confirms his 'Corrupt' status of Hammam and points a stinky finger in the direction of Manchester., For Alex this is not good publicity at all but certanly not a surprise to some. There was much discussed in despatches and the Fergie revelations were a surprise to me to say the least but I was not one bit surprised that clubs have now become commodities.
I've recorded this and i'll watch it tomorrow but i'm looking forward to watching this now. It sounds extremely interesting.
LMAO Guy shows emails on his BB from Alex Ferguson WORK. Tells the undercover Journo Fergie will arrange players to be loaned after they buy the club and a lot of other claims. Some clubs are owned by dead people !
And they knighted this crook!Well it does prove Panorama was right when they did the documentary on his son...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. One as crooked as the other. Not suprising they knighted Jeffrey Archer.
Don't compliment them, you'll only encourage them. If there's something fishy going on, it's a matter for the FA, the Premier League and possibly the police. Not Channel 4.
Expect Baconface to refuse to do interviews with Channel four, well he could boycott them when they attempt to interview them on their racing coverage. He will also instruct his players to not talk to channel four too.Michael Owen who owns a few horses will not be allowed to talk to them. Who's been a naughty boy then?
Most people when choosing the starting line-up for our first game have Downing on the left wing. According to Gerard Houllier, he's quite happy on the right as well, giving us even more options. F**k Robson, fungus and manure. We are LIVERPOOL FC!
I think all fans of all teams should be concerned about this behaviour. NO NOT FERGUSON!!! leave that aside for wumming and tongue in cheek stuff, there is a much wider issue here. 1. Portsmouth were virtually wiped out by this stuff. 2. MK dons are a classic example of how fans can be tossed aside by uncaring owners. 3. how many clubs mentioned in this expose are in fact exactly the clubs that are up to their necks in it? 4. Notts county debacle should have been prevented by the FA who singulalry failed even to find out who owned what. All in all you have to admit that it is all very dodgy, from the chicken farmers who WILL close blackburn within 5 years (applause to the jack walker foundation there) to the 4 owners of portsmouth we can see a horrendeuos trend developing. This trend shows that WE the fans of football are treated like dirt, like cows to be milked, our clubs merely pwns in get rich quick schemes. Its high time clubs got real and took back control. Fan ownership is a must at this point, if you can't compete at the top be sustainable. now for the tongue in cheek stuff... we all know the infamous moments in fergusons career surrounding the old horse racing stuff, the clubs like peterborough etc. But he's not unique there. Barry fry, Redkanpp and others are all the same.... nothing illegal in it is there until you find out why he was doing said favours... focus on the real serious stuff, laugh at the rest but please don't ever think this is not a blight on our game, actually in a strange way it puts the antics of G&H and the glaziers in context doesn't it?
Agreed. I'd take a well managed leverage buyout (Glazers, not H&G) over the scheming antics of fly by night get rich quick schemers. OK Man Utd are lucky that they are one of the few clubs that can afford £40m a year debt repayments but would the Glazers have even attempted it if they hadn't already done their homework?
Certainly an eye opener when it showed how many of the past and present asian owners are connected to that Joe Sim chap.We need a Despatches investigation into the FIFA elections...sure to be some backhanders going on there(cant just have been Hamman(sp) involved in bribery methods).
I would hope that one day (probably not in the near term though) FIFa and the FA get the NOTW and newscorp treatment. I know ok its not like hacking into murdered peoples phones but seriously one day some country in the developed world has to stand up and haul thier FA in over the millions and millions of pounds vansihing and fans left with nothing. One day fifa may just split and i just hope to see sepp blatter in court
