I am sick and tired of my club being dragged through the gutter by those paid sums of money that most of us can barely conceive. I am totally disgusted by the managerâs behaviour. I donât care what pressure he is under, I donât care how annoyed he is by Taarabt, I donât care how persistent the media are for a quote, he needs to know that he is the manager of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, not working on a market stall in Shepherds Bush market. I am equally disgusted by Taarabtâs behaviour. He has got all the talent in the world, but refuses to use it. Get fit and train so damn hard that you canât be left out of the team. It is a privilege to play football for a living, respect your profession, respect your employer. And I am disgusted with myself for caring so much that they are shredding the proud heritage of our club, a club built on the dignity of men such as Alec Stock and Alan McDonald. Although our media department are powerless to prevent this and have my sympathy their press release is akin to sticking a plaster over a gaping wound. Embarrassed doesnât come close. Tony Fernandes, sack them both for bringing our club into disrepute, this circus has to stop.
Totally agree roller, very unprofessional from Harry, although TF has issued a statement apologising to us fans it still doesn't make it any better & media thrive on it, should have been kept in house
Roller, I think that is the best post I have seen on any board regarding this very public private spat. It is impossible to support either person in this dispute.
Doubt you'll find a single fan disagreeing with you, Roller. As reported, we've become the Celebrity Big Brother of the football world. Just wish the manager would knuckle down without self-created distractions and the players did their talking on the pitch
Good words Roller, the whole affair has become a farce, and our club is - again - the laughing stock of the league. I don't think I'd be as bothered by it all if we were a lot further up the table, but this just feels like rubbing salt into a very sore wound. Both HR and AT need to grow up and realise that there is much more at stake here than their personal pride - the future of this club is far more important, and survival in the Premier League is pivotal to this. TF must be fuming that this has become so public - oh to be a fly on the wall when he had his meetings with the both of them!!
I completely back your sentiment Roller. Most eloquently put to. I have my issues with both parties but overriding all of that is my hatred of soap operas, and that what this feels like.
Good points Simon But Taarabt aside Our manager has the most to answer A few games ago we witnessed Harold slating the entire team for fitness and attitude ... Taarabt wasn't playing and we looked awful and from catching up batch style I was disgusted with the matches I watched Taarabt then picked as a sub against West ham ? What why? Good enough to appear then Having time since Sunday he pops again saying he is the worse professional ever and only lost weight being ill ... Think about just that Harold made a wrong situation worse I am disgusted that Taarabt was used to vent a very poor manager's failings I am disgusted that people don't look at the big picture and I urge posters to consider what has gone on without Taarabt being involved
Well said Roller. I cannot believe, how we are discussing this after Sunday... We should, be discussing important things like which of our 3 forwards should be on the bench, when is Joey back, can Isla play full back ever..... But no, the British media and press, the club, the people involved are talking about nothing else. Have they got the time and energy to prepare for the Villa match.? But I see and understand both sides, I understand how it was triggered, I see and understand the reprisals.And I care. To many people it is cheap column inches, that fill the copy...but to me it is my club. I agree with you Roller....another hole that can't be filled....just when we were heading approximately in the right direction. Your problem is your so far up Adel's arse you can't see the wood for the trees. He doesn't give a sh*t for QPR and hasn't since the day we won the title over three years ago, if he did he'd be busting a gut, he hasn't and won't. Get over it, he's poison. I thinks Harry's actions are astonishing for a so called "man manager". His press conference words were a disgraceful attack on an individual he is supposed to be managing and motivating. It doesn't really matter whether its Adel or someone else. What must the other players think of AT's public humiliation. I think Adels public reaction, was totally wrong. But I cannot help but think I may well have reacted the same way when I was younger if my boss had publicly shamed me. And he clearly isn't 3 stone overweight. We all know that he is a spoilt child with a huge ego, but the club is paying his huge wages and it up to the manager to get him playing for the benefit of the team. There is now absolutely no chance of that happening and his wages are wasted. For that we can thank Harry. Warnock managed to tame him for the benefit of the team, why can't Harry. What a waste.
How about this What evidence do you have that Taarabt hasn't been training hard ? Mainstream evidence suggests he was quoted that he is determined to help QPR retain premiership survival He is on record as saying he did think he was going to Milan but it didn't happen .. Should have been kept in house. The other plays and supporting staff have enough to focus on. No good has come from it and none will. Tony and Phil Beard must be pretty cross themselves.
Unless there is a dramatic turnaround in our fortunes Harry's tenure is coming to an end. Don't think Harry will have reacted well to his public put down by Fernandes.
