Leeds scratch around looking at Forsell, Felix Luz and take Keough on loan. So ****ing pissed off with hearing about other teams wage bills being less than ours, our lack of funds and teams with lesser support and smaller gates can sign up a £million player.

NO I AM NOT saying it means they will be any good because they cost a million, my point is they are willing to spend money while Grayson has to sniff around cast offs.

It is true that while a high transfer fee won't guarantee quality or end results, your options are far vaster if you're willing to spend money.

And we've just signed a decent Premiership striker with a fair bit of Championship experience.

Please don't tell me you mean Keough... Go on you do don't you, oh dear... He lacks goals, we already have McCormack, Bechhio to return and we play 4-5-1

Nottingham Forest beat us for the playoff spot last season so in theory we should be looking at finishing higher than them.

They have a playing squad of 29 we have 25

They have signed Matt Derbyshire, Ishamel Miller, Andy Reid, Jonathan Greening and George Boateng.

Their manager states that they are short of players, they have been looking to add more quality and they hope to make further signings, the chairman has given him full backing to add more quality to the squad.

Last season we averaged 27,299 a home game they averaged 23,709

My point is not if these players are better than ours although I would have LOVED to have seen some of these players come to Elland road, mainly for Simon 21 MY POINT IS Forest with smaller gates can afford a squad of 29 and increasing and can afford to splash a £million (more really Greening undisclosed fee) on a player Leeds can't. Which club lacks ambition?

Oh FFS, if he'd gone to Leicester or Ipswich you'd be complaining about him like you are now about Ings and Miller.

I have been feeling guilty by the way i fly off the handle @ Bates , SG & our transfer policy........ i am keeping calm at the moment posting quips & funny little remarks , so nice to see others fly off as well ........
But at the end of the day ours is not the reason why ! ours is just to shut up & be good little supporters, after all our saviour Master Bates has ensured us with a club to support at least !! ( yes that was sarcasm)

How many players have been through Elland Road since relegation, i bet it is an extremely vast amount !!! some have gelled elsewhere and most have been Dross ...... best thing is they ALL got well paid for their stay with us !!! ( by well paid i mean anything more than £500 pwk) never mind £15k ......... and we get castigated for complaining !!!!

I am just waiting for bill and Ben who feel Keough is a great signing and the news that Forsell is training with us as the excitement of the week to tell me what team they would like to see turn out on Saturday.

My guess is that they would like to see McCormack dropped, if so once again someone contracted to us losing out to someone no better on loan. Or it might be that they see us opt for 4-4-2 which would mean Gradel, Snoddy, Howson and Clayton or Brown starting with Keogh and McCormack up front.

Yet again the only person to have scored goals from open play and the very promising Nunez getting no match time or a contracted player in Brown our only defensive midfielder not playing who Simon21 keeps telling me is a good signing. Forsell on trial, well that will be interesting to see where he fits in if we give him a contract....

Here we go again , the player who is scoring goals gets to warm the bench ..... How many times was Beckford played out of position on the left ?
How many times was Somma warming the Bench last season ?
will the same happen to Nunez ?
hmmm i guess thats why i would never maker a manager , i thought you were supposed to play your best & most succesfull players in the most profitable position every week !!

    Unless there's a Plan ??

I think it was an old German manager who I saw giving an interview once about why Germany at the time were so succesful... He said that they pick their best RB to play RB and LB to play LB and so on. If the first choice is injured they go for 2nd then 3rd and so on through each position.

Even if it meant having a £20million superstar warming the bench because he was second choice CM he would have to warm the bench rather than be played out of position. I can really see the sense in that, reminds me of two England matches when Owen Hargreaves and David Batty once played at right back.

Okay just searched out when David Batty played at RB it was Euro 92

    GK: Chris Woods
    RB: David Batty
    CB: Martin Keown
    CB: Des Walker
    LB: Stuart Pearce
    RM: Tony Daley
    CM: Neil Webb
    CM: Carlton Palmer
    CM: David Platt
    LM: Andy Sinton
    CF: Gary Lineker

I get frustrated that Grayson has to scrape the barrel for cast offs and the sun doesn't always shine through rose colour glasses for me, I am being realistic unlike many.

I just looked through some of your old threads and see you support old Ken, well never mind. You carry on thinking he is the man to take Leeds Utd forward and you continue to be the one disappointed with our lack of progression.

The other two muppets still haven't replied with their probable or preferred starting 11 for Saturday, it just shows that they don't think through what is actually good and what is needed.

You obviously can't follow threads either, if you know about Kingsheath I assume you were brought up there, probably explains your lack of being able to follow the difference between someone who likes Grayson and someone who doesn't.

I like Grayson, I have said time and time again right man for the job and anyway, we can't lose him as nobody else would work under the disgrace that is Ken Bates.

    ........
Does bates make Grayson sign the players he signs? I seem to member wise/gus had it 50% worse then Grayson has ever had yet they would have got us up with -15 points if they had stayed! Maccabee had it the next year and made better signings then grayson. The team was there last year and grayson fked it up.
