Just noticed that we have had 4 games so far this season and we have only had two bookings (by my count) and none have been given to Lee!!

You don't want to be looking at this then BSG...http://www.11v11.com/teams/gillingham/tab/players

Although I hasten to add I have not checked any of its accuracy.

ps. just checked it against all the BBC stats and it's spot on!

I checked the club's stat pages...

Well that makes me look a little stupid :embarrassed: well more stupid than usual...

The point I was trying to make was the improvement in discipline from last season... not sure if that holds true anymore

It's not stupid, to be honest until I saw those stats over the weekend, I did not even register how many yellows we had picked up. What we don't know is any comparison after the same number of games last season. In defence of them (pun intended) they do appear to be in the main picked up by the back four and keeper. I think it is unavoidable in that area as long has you are not conceding penalties...oh we did - lol

Lee's record deserves comment. Many of those cards last season were awarded when he was playing out of position at right back. He did not have the pace to get back so he nailed his opponents in their own half. We do not know if his improved yellow card record is due to change of position or change of attitude. Its probably a bit of both but very welcome.

I reckon 5 yellows in 4 games ain't too bad. I would imagine most teams pick up at least a couple of cards per game on average.

I hear Flanagan was a touch unlucky with the red. And at least it was for 2 yellows rather than a straight red for violent conduct or something.
