We can't cry over spilt milk and wonder what might have been if we had managed to keep 11 men on the field. The hard fact is that we lost badly and no excusues are required because the statistics show that 9 man teams rarely win. I didn't see the game but I start to wonder if the lads need a serious lesson in discipline from Delboy otherwise we'll end up with fewer players for selection. Discipline is a key factor in good teams and I'm sure history will prove that statement right. The tide of poor results is washing over us again and if we don't get our act together right now we could be swept out to sea and wonder why. We had a chance today to put ourselves higher up the table, but again we fell way short and soon the statitistics could become extremely difficult. Some of the teams below us now have a game in hand and that could prove problematic during the run-in. We all wish we had the answers but we don't and it's solely down to BCFC to sort out the problems - good luck del.
Spot on Mike and I've already expressed similar sentiments elsewhere. Games are starting to run out, but the problems at the club run much deeper (and longer) than Del and Nicky Maynard, so if we do go down (which I don't think we will) blame the chairman and owner for not doing the right things when they had chance after chance after chance.
Lot of blame out there angelic and our rhetoric doesn't help the cause for survival. For once I would like to hear that we played well and won, but unless something radical happens to the attitudes it won't be any time soon. Even the so called easier teams always present us with problems and it needs to be sorted now or time could run out quickly. I don't think we will go down but my belief will only be boosted by positive results, something that we just can't achieve right now. We're better than this and there's no such team that's too good to go down.
Mike - Luckily Coventry and Millwall both lost. Peterborough got a point (and I still think they could fill one of the places in the bottom 3 come May), but Ipswich and Watford won. Forest play Derby today and Doncaster and Pomeys games were postponed. We still need a little string of decent results to pull away from the mire but we were bang out of luck (at Reading) and bang out of common sense/professionalism (Bolasie) yesterday
