Suarez we all know about. And Adam has always been a tough enforcer in the mould of SOunness case McMahon etc. But his dive today tainted what was once one of the biggest games in club football. United are no saints but as a neutral, adam's dive and Suarez's handiwork are destroying our great game. Shanks would turn in his grave: He would never have let cheats like Suarez defile the once proud Liverpool shirt.
What dive? Ferdinand trod on the back of his heal u nob. Before that Adam was in full control of his run and had beaten Ferdinand, why would he fall over for the sake of it? The ref game the free-kick and a yellow should have been given too - so Ferdinand should have been sent off.
There was a faint touch, however Rio was all ends up in tackling him and was fortunate to stay on the pitch! You do sound a bit of a bitter lemon mate
Adam milked it. And Suarez is a good player but is the greatest exponennt of the dark arts in football
Yea, he milked it because the ref did nothing! No mention of Evra in the refs face all game trying to get players carded then?
The OP is ****ing WUM. Nothing more, nothing less. Rio admitted there was a touch, Adam had the right to go down. Plus the speed he was running at any touch would of knocked you off stride. So **** off back to the Chelsea board you ****ing chav.
Maybe the guy is wumming but at OT last season, the Liverpool fans complained the minimal contact on Berbatov didn't warrant a penalty but the minimal contact on Adam does warrant a free kick and red card?????
Chelsea fan - question for you... Who spoke these words? "Sometimes I dive, sometimes I don't dive." Clue (It was a Chelsea player)
No, it didnt warrant a red card, it deserved a yellow card making it 2 yellows and off. But the fact that the ref knew ferdinand was already on a yellow meant he bottled it. If Ferdinand hadn't been booked earlier than I guarantee mariner wouldnt have hesitated in pulling out the yellow but, as it was, he bottled it.
He may have bottled it but he may have had serious doubt the actual offence occurred. Refs can make mistakes. Look no further than the Merseyside derby.
If he had doubts then he shouldn't have given the free kick right in front of goal! what kind of pathetic ref gives a free kick so quickly and in such a dangerous area but then doubts it at the same time to the extent that he doesnt give a yellow? It's either a free-kick and Ferdinand is off or its nothing!
Part of the beauty of the game is that you win some decisions and you lose some. It's at minimum a good debate starter...
Lucas fouled Young in a dangerous area at the start of the second half and didn't get a second yellow either. Or did you conveniently forget that one?
